July 3, 20205 yr I did my first flight in P3Dv5 HF2 with the FSLabs A320. Overall it was my most satisfying P3D flight in some time. Performance is great, the sim was stable, and I really enjoyed the enhanced atmospherics...EA made the approach into Vancouver seem like a typical low cloud approach into Vancouver. Like many, I've had my trials and tribulations with P3Dv5 but I feel like I'm really getting to a happy place with it now. Thanks for looking! July 3, 20205 yr Author Thanks, I’ve resisted the urge to install most texture/shader products into v5 and am only running ASCA which I think doesn’t change EA anyway so that’s pretty much default, Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
July 3, 20205 yr Love the shots! By the way, it's been cold (14 degrees Celsius / 57 Fahrenheit) and rainy for the past couple of days in Vancouver. Great weather to fly into ... but not so great to live through. 🙂 June (otherwise known as June-uary) was cool and rainy, and July (now known as Jul-vember) is starting out the same. The YVR ATIS had you at a balmy 16C when I was flying in 😃 I'm all to familiar with the perils of living on a coast during the Canadian June-uary...we were unseasonably warm and dry in Nova Scotia last month which was a nice change from the normal. July 3, 20205 yr Great to hear your satisfaction with V5! Those AC colours are spot on! Southern Ontario must have most of the heat and sun. We have been under incredibly hot weather for the past few weeks and there is no sign of this heat letting up. Cheers!
