My suggestion takes in some of the "classic" Australian tourist destinations. Darwin (Kakadu), Alice Springs (Uluru), Cairns (Great Barrier Reef), Gold Coast (Women in bikinis), Sydney (Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach - Topless women in bikinis) 😁 Edited July 16, 20205 yr by MatthewS Matthew S

Starting say a few days after the release of MSFS, so that people have a chance to play around with MSFS first? That Jules Verne "Around the World in Eighty Days" route sounds interesting, or maybe some other historic around the world route? 🤔 Does MSFS support custom online "rooms" whereby you could host a room for the flight? Maybe also using real weather, real time of day? There has been a RTW competition for many years between Avsim, Sim Outhouse and Flightsim.com. (Avsim has had more than it's fair share of wins over the years) In the Multiplayer vid I think it was called Shards - which is basically what you suggest; invited people to a Group Flight - groups of us visible to each other but not eveyone else running in multiplayer - so yes, it will be wonderful to have that ability. There was talk a little while ago of doing a Flypast Asobo Studios in France a few days after release - which I also think would be a nice thing to do. It woud also give the MS servers a bit of heads up of what to expect... 😉 Edited July 16, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

I think you'd have a lot of pop-in pilots joining a leg for fun. Can you join a shard near the flight leader? Be a bummer if you join a shard and the "pack" is hundreds of miles away. Be also good if a shard could "advertise" a URL so that it can be associated with a blog page or post on this forum, to give pilots the route, flight plans etc. 5 minutes ago, Will Fly For Cheese said: There was talk a little while ago of doing a Flypast Asobo Studios in France a few days after release - which I also think would be a nice thing to do. Ooo! We could do what we did once in Microsoft Flight: See how many planes we can land on top of the Asobo Studio building at the same time! Yeah, yeah, but it was fun, ok? 😄 Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I'll have to re-watch the feature vid because I don't remeber if it's even called a Shard - but it's something like that. Basically, yep, you advertise that you're doing a group flight - all welcome - and off you go and radio chatter is on Discord. Edited July 16, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
July 16, 20205 yr Western Canada ("western provinces") low altitude, bush flying, small fields operations, is awesome!

Asobo might even promote the concept? I believe that's Bordeaux-Merignac (IATA: BOD, ICAO: LFBD) Plenty big enough. If the winds are calm we can have alternating Take Offs from 29/ 05 or 23/ 11. It's probably going to get messy though 😛

July 16, 20205 yr Back-country flying is mind-boggling. 🙂 I've been saying this all along. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
July 16, 20205 yr I'll just wait until IVAO launch their tours for MSFS. If I'd to pick the airports myself, it would be a 3 year long tour. 😂

Sure, especially if it highlights interesting things, like famous landmarks, tricky airport landings, bad weather etc... So maybe a "highlights" reel? Edited July 16, 20205 yr by MatthewS Matthew S
