I don't agree with that line, although there is some fundamental truth to it of course.

Nowadays, you don't have to be thankful for a car. But you can be thankful for someone to invent a Tesla.

I agree with you, Tweekz. I don't think it is a bad thing to feel grateful. Sure there is money involved, but that doesn't exclude gratitude and being aware the tremendous work that went into the product and facilitated innovation.

I love Musk, the Howard Hughes of our day  and age.  On the other hand, my big V6 on unleaded pulling 1.6 t of metal is nice too.  Way better actually to bring stuff to the waste  disposal facility.

Grateful, I save the word for the people who put their life in line for my safety. Not for someone making a toy how desirable it could be.

Well, Dominique, you might save the word for whatever you want, but why would I save it when Asobo clearly has advanced my main hobby at least a whole decade into the future with this iteration of the sim? It will actually impact my life in many ways (enjoyment, advancing my geographical knowledge, air physics, etc etc). Me and my husband have already made a deal that we shall use the sim together to explore parts of the world that we might be interested in traveling to. We never did that before. So yes, I am actually feeling grateful. 

I dont think Asobo are only in this for the money. If they were, then perhaps you are right that this is only a toy that is made the way it is only to make money. In that case I'm grateful for the capitalistic system that is advancing this tech 😉

Well - whatever it is, it's the most intense flight sim forum I have ever visited right now - and I've been around for decades but in the different miilitary flight sim forums...

Posts gone from the first page after an hour or less. I am all out of popcorn. A Circus Maximus maybe? Close to the civilized forum - has some religous shrines but they are not the main purpose?

I've been in the alpha program and have a lot to say about their tester support and whole bunch of other things about how this thing isn't even ready, unless their RTM build is a magic build. Lift the d*mn NDA's already! 

The alpha NDA will probably never be lifted. And why should it. What happens in Vegas....

As far as a bit of chaos among the testers, this is always the case when the end of testing arrives. Not enough fixed, not ready for RTM, what about the trees, blah, blah, blah... Enjoy the sim. It will get better through the efforts of 3rd party developers, as usual.
