August 12, 20205 yr It does not matter what anyone thinks. Alpha/Beta/Gamma tester, or anyone else. Microsoft have decided to release it August 18th. People will always be angry about a release date. You either buy it or you don't, your choice. Flight simmer's were also angry when FSX got released, but guess what, MS did it anyway. People trash all kinds of things they have already seen in the sim. Even more trashing isn't going to change my mind. I think it will be fine for me, and that's all I care about. August 12, 20205 yr The videos ive seen of the press release looks good to me. Drawyeh has a 4+ hour flight in it on youtube.. And Asobo will have had another 3 weeks to work on it since then... My x-plane CTD on me 3 days ago on approach.. In fact I just watched a stream tonight and p3d v5 CTD on him ... that stuff doesnt scare me. Bring MFS on. The name "Microsoft Flight Simulator" is timeless. Are you still going to be calling it FS2020 in 2026? In the industry I used to work in, one of our competitors stuck a year name on their product, which was fine for the year that they released it, but 5 years down the track, customers perceived it as old and outdated. The company eventually changed their naming format to remove that perception. If we're going to be calling it anything other than Microsoft Flight Simulator then I'm going with Sex-plane, as I quite fancy it 😉 And I'll expect everyone to know what I'm talking about....
