Yeah but thats actually the only thing i have to judge it by. Flashy Screenshot don't shot FPS or flight dynamics. ...so? Or, and hear me out... you can withhold judgement until you try the final product? If you don’t want to pay the full $60 up front, try Xbox game pass for one month for $15 or whatever it is. And then make a judgement.

Are they that hyped or whats going on with them? I guess they just accept whatever is coming for what it is. My personal opinion since the day we got the release announcement for August is that this sim is horribly rushed and should have been kept in development until the winter holiday season. Everything I've seen and experienced since then has confirmed this in my eyes. This is also why I didn't preorder and this is maybe also why I'm quite relaxed right now. My expectation for next week is that we will get a spectacular and fun Cessna VFR simulator. Everything on top of that will make me even more happy.

Maybe most people don’t care about things like tree heights, or realize that AI and ATC are both works-in-progress, or maybe most people don’t like being called “brainwashed” because they are excited for the first MFS in 15 years. Maybe most people acknowledge the technological accomplishments of this simulation outweigh the glitches that are progressively being eliminated. Take your pick.

But i do care for a smooth sim and an autopilot that can at least hold a navtrack without any further actions to be made. I guess many people here would be bummed if Asobo said "ok, thats that!" and packed down the show on launch day. But they won't, and we get to be a part of the sim world while they continue to work on it. It's GOOD ENOUGH to launch, but it isn't done yet. It might never be. I say all is good because I am excited to get my hands on this flight sim in a few days - understanding full well there will be bugs. I'd actually rather wait. I ended simming a few years ago because i had no interest in tweaking and fiddling anymore and i have absolutely no ambitions to carry on the same ol' song when MSFS is out. August 13, 20205 yr This just in! New software has bugs. Lots of bugs. Weird things happen! Also, grass is green and sky is blue. Shocking, I know!

Not an unreasonable expectation. But at least initially, with regards to default airliner type aircraft, things may not be ideal.

Accepting to buy a product thats not finished or polished up and expect not to be in whatever it might take. Months? Years? Maybe forever? But people keep saying "Its a sim. Sims are never finished, never perfect." Nobody would accept that when buying a new CPU or Monitor. Hey...its a Computer. They never work like you expect them to! Oh you bought a 144Hz Monitor? It only shows 120Hz yet but may be showing 144Mz in the near future. Lets see! Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! There is a fundamental difference between a thing you can hold in your hand, and a thing that is abstract and doesn't exist in the physical world. I guess I'm just too used to this stuff as a gamer. You never get to buy games anymore that are 100% complete and bug free on launch. They all need some work afterwards. It's kinda the same as with the free2play games that came a few years ago. I was used to paying for my MMO's with both the retail price and a monthly subscription. Then came the f2p games and kinda destroyed the market. It's pretty standard to release games with still some bits and bobs left to fix after launch these days. It's the 2020's.
