I am stocking up on popcorn.  My day will consist of flying the 787 on autopilot In MSFS while I chomp down on some popcorn and watch the fireworks on these websites. I find it all funny.  Wait I need butter. Bbl.  Off to the store to get butter.  Proceed with the flogging

The only logical way to get the sim at launch is via gamepass. Period.

I bought it, installed it, waiting for release so I can open it and fly it. I couldn't care less what anybody else thinks.

molleh wanted to know how much more I couldn't care

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

So how much less could you care? A lot? If so, then you actually care a good deal.

Right on brother. It's entertaining and very occasionally informative to see all the videos and stuff, but it's a chore to sift through all the rubbish to find the odd one of interest. Ultimately, I'll be the judge of whether I think the sim is good bad or indifferent.

So probably the could should be couldn't but Merriam-Webster can't decipher a difference in the use of the term. However to humor you I'll edit it but to answer your question, If my care were to be measured it would be at 99.9% of caring capacity so I could care less but only a tenth of a percent. 😁

I think it's very much more common for Americans to use 'could care less' than for those of us in the UK for example. For what it's worth (probably not much if you use the 'American version'), it's never made sense to me. 'Couldn't care less' clearly states that nothing could make you care less about whatever it is, whilst the alternative phrase clearly states you have the capacity to care less than you actually do, and therefore it seems a bit of a redundant phrase IMO.

But despite all that, kudos to you for your response!😃👍

Now, don't get me started on the use  'just about' because to me that means almost, but not quite, whereas to many others it means just achieved it by the smallest of margins!😁

Now, what topic were we just about sticking to...😇

Merriam-Webster can't be a very smart group of people then, because it is spectacularly obvious how much of a difference there is between both terms.

I’m sure Merriam-Webster are very good at their job, which is documenting contemporary language use in North American English. Their job is not prescribing language to satisfy reactionary logical-pedants from England.

i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Now isn’t that a drama queen of a title.

Look, no one is forcing you to buy the sim. Play whatever sim you prefer. Like it? But it. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it. It’s that simple.

We all know MSFS has issues. We all acknowledge them. The developers have shown time and time again that they’re well aware of them, and have also communicated that they’re well committed to making MSFS the sim WE want to use. Isn’t that good enough for you?

Sorry but I feel like these types of posts are more attention-seeking than anything.

Of course it won't be. The devs have said so many times that development doesn't stop on the 18th, but what can you do?

Come release day the last place I'll be is here wallowing in Avsim misery. I'll be off exploring new and exciting locations and having fun. Each to thier own though 🤣

I for one think their flight models are better than Oxfords.

Oxford has better documentation.  Or at least more extensive. 😄
