Another interview with Jorg and Martial ...

Interesting to hear them talk about all the stuff. Neat that they can add pollution to cities and it be accurate. Thanks for sharing!

So they outsourced some of the 37.000 airports (medium complexity ones) to Orbx ... interesting because last year Orbx said they were unaware of MSFS development, so they built the airports during the alpha ?

I think at some point Jorg mentioned they worked on these airport details the past half year, so yes, the alpha had already started.

They should have hired PMDG to outsource at least one good study level airliner for launch. MS has the cash.

It amazes me that anyone can watch that video and say this isn't revolutionary.

Think I might take a spin round Arran on release day. Haven't visited since I was there with the scouts at about 14 years of age. We had hire bikes to explore the island. But not mountain bikes - 'Sit up and beg' bikes complete with basket and Sturmey Archer 3spd gears.😶 Except my bike had only one working gear! Anyone who knows Arran will now what a stupid bike choice that would be! It took about 2 and a half hours to go round as far as we did in one direction and about 25 minutes on the way back!  Those hills!!!😄

It might not look brilliant at low level, but it will be nice to fly around the shoreline higher up.👍 And certainly won't take 25 minutes of day one, let alone 150min!

When you have a bias view against something, it prevents you from seeing the truth. There is a lot of that going on.

Nah. Well before Alpha and just after the airport discovery series some clever people picked up that orbx where advertising for people to obviously modify MSFS default airports. There was a thread on it.

Nice chat. Martial sounded much less stressed than in the Q&A stream 🤭
