Thanks, after solving the parking cores issue it indeed is smoother, now I only got stutters due to lack of VRAM

I took a long break after 2024 release because the performances were garbage and I was very disappointed. I recently bought the best AMD cpu on the market (at least for consumer segment) : ryzen 9 9950X3D. I initially bought this cpu for my work and not for playing, I could have bought the non 3XD version for $200 less if I knew how MSFS was going to disappoint me (again): Fresh reinstall of windows & MSFS 2024, I start up at KJFK with default TBM : 30 fps, stuttery poppy mess, "limited by main thread" with lowest graphics. I guess my gpu from 5 years ago is not the problem (rtx 2080). This confirms my opinion that recent GPUs are mostly scam and useless and they deceit you with fake frame generation. The real issue is that developers suck nowadays and they should be ashamed. I'm done with MSFS, very disappointed. I guess I'll focus on my work and forget about gaming.

yes the lack of caching is insane. the objects around you should not unload as you pan around. And this is despite having "pre caching" option set to Ultra.

I'm in Europe and it's fast for me to. No longer having bandwidth issues. The problem for me is now the FPS. Picked the A330 at KJFK and I couldn't get decent performance even if I reduce all my settings to low. When I pan around it's a stuttery mess and vehicles are popping an disappearing as I pan. It's unplayable on big airports

Have you asked Randazzo's permission ? he may get angry at this ..

It should be "Our bandwidth is too low" and maybe add a "sorry" at least stop blaming us for your problems and be honest..

Have you noticed the "free flight" button on the main menu is so tiny ? It implies to the user this is not the main way we are expected to use the flight simulator. i don't like this

Extraordinary circumstances require extraordinary measures. Many of us uninstalled FS2020 and cannot access FS2024 due to server overload. FS2020 servers could be temporarily shut down and allocated for FS2024 to help us in this dire situation. FS2020 users can still play offline without the photo imagery, we don't have this choice in FS2024

maybe they should shut down FS 2020 servers to make them available for MSFS 2024 I have uninstalled 2020 anyway

Last time I was in a queue to play a game it was an MMORPG, never would have guessed I'd be in a queue to play flight simulator ....

what I don't get is why render an animation in 3D in the loading screen, instead of capturing the animation in video and just play the video so that our GPU can breath during loading. so stupid !!

They could have just added the sharklets to the 3d model without touching anything else, no one could tell the difference if they updated flight model or not. Though by placebo effect people would say they feel the difference.

I wonder if one day airlines like Lufthansa will remote fly their planes with pilots working from home on flight simulator
