November 20, 20241 yr So they underestimated the initial day(s) load.. all the issues are due to one of the MSFS services and associated server-side cache. They did load tests with 200,000 concurrent users but actual release day was much more. Frankly they should have known it'd be way way more than that? But I like the honest and transparent report.. hopefully they'll keep doing more of these. November 20, 20241 yr Honesty is one thing.... They are relying so heavily on cloud based content.. Not so sure this is a recipe for success. Certainly not off to a good start in that regard.
November 20, 20241 yr 200K concurrent users. They should have staggered the release. May not have stopped the problem, but it would have helped. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
November 20, 20241 yr Don’t get out of the sim or you’ll be waiting in line again. just a friendly heads up FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024

November 20, 20241 yr Yeah, nothing is truly fixed. They put a gatekeeping bandaid on server entry and its not helping noticeably at all.
November 20, 20241 yr I refuse to wait in a queue to play a game. What a load of nonsense. If this continues I'll be asking for a refund.

Certainly not off to a good start in that regard. It doesn't really sound like a "cloud" issue - it sounds like things are bottlenecking through a critical server-side check, that check process' cache has completely overflowed and melted down, and they're scrambling to scale it up for more people.
