Exclusive: Orbx LOWI Innsbruck Airport For MSFS

I'd assume the ground services (fuel trucks, baggage handlers, ground crew etc.) would barely register on the resource usage due to the simplistic nature of what they do in the sim so I expect it won't be long till further animations/movements are implemented, would seem a fairly easy fix.

It would of brought so much to the environment, to not implement it makes me question why they didn’t if it is an easy fix as you say.

Wasn’t this already one of the handcrafted airports?

Yes but... Let’s say this way. Default handmade airports should be the standard for any default int airport, or at least the more important ones of each country. Could be comprable to FSX default handmade ones back in 2006.

Looks good, but are not like a 3rd party airport.

He avoided the end of the airport with the train station and moving trains ??

In yesterday's FSElite live stream you could see 3d trains at Innsbruck station. They didn't seem to be moving though. But I'm not 100% sure.

But moving trains should be possible. In the official planes and airports video you can see a moving shuttle train at Orlando airport.

LOWI is a handcrafted AP in the default sim. I would like to and need some comparisons if updating it is even worth it.

Yes, sure, but they are quite alright overall. I mean, if anyone would rapidly develop custom airports at the quality level of the MSFS handcrafted airports that come with the sim and get them on the market at 5€ a pop I would probably buy all of them.

The sim has not been released yet. Let's give FS2020 a few months just to see what happens. Just think about what ORBX did with P3D & XP and one can only imagine how good this sim will be.

The handcrafted airports that come with MSFS and its editions have a different design philosophy than these 3rd-party products. They show quite a lot of detail in areas that can normally be seen when using the airport from an airplane, but don't show very much out of that immediate area.

Yes, aren’t bad at all. That’s why I think should be some kind of the standard of the sim, because are at the same quality level than the rest of the world representation.

What I find very bad are the generic default ones, the medium/big sized airports (airstrips looks better). TARMAC texture/markings need some work (especially when Bing satellite imagery is much better) and TARMAC night illumination is missing as far as I have seen.

Getting the ORBX version for sure. As I own already LOWI for P3D I get 40% off iirc.

Mate, I honestly think giving a brief summary on a comparison of airports isn’t going to get you thrown off the alpha/beta that ends tomorrow night.
