The rudder still works if you want to do a forward or side slip, or if you want to do various aerobatics like stalls and spins. Someone try a lomcovak . August 18, 20205 yr Question for all: Have I had a stoke or are things getting weird? This is a serious question. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
August 18, 20205 yr @LHookins Can you smell burnt toast? 🤣 Nah, shizzle's getting weird (and repetitive, think I'll bow out of Avsim for a few days) ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

No other symptoms. I may take a break as well. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Have you ever flown an A2A aircraft ? Can the rudder be used when crabbing into the wind ? Raises a lot of questions. Is a Yaw damper required on a big jet? ..... I'm being rhetorical here. Clearly, at present, the flight models are not aimed at realism fans...and that's fine. At least we know.

Now ..whether slipping wipes off air speed and gives you a rapid descent rate the way it should is another question entirely.
November 16, 20205 yr I have placed by rudder on the same axis as you yoke, works very well. coordinated turns and all... CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
November 16, 20205 yr The autorudder setting for takeoff, once set, remains active throughout the flight.
