Great performance out the box

@Tomaz Drnovsek Real world traffic and weather are already in it! There are some custom airports too. And PMDG said they noticed very little performance drop with their alpha 737 in MFS.

If that's the case... amazing!

Just a couple of questions.. do real world traffic airplanes have real world liveries or are all the same? Is the weather as good as it gets or will we eventually get Active Sky 2020?

I just made my comment because not so long ago when P3D v5 was released everybody were ecstatic about amazing performance but at the end with all the 3rd party addons the performance is not much better than in v4.

You should have seen the beta. This final version performs quite worse.

I have no idea what they did, but definitely lost noticeable performance.

I tend to agree..... Mostly regarding the large planes.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

@Tomaz Drnovsek There are a few real world liveries but getting the licences has been delayed by COVID, also there are only a few generic models to represent the planes. The weather is far and above anything in any other simulator, I can see no reason why you'd need a third party weather engine, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8TGT87Fxyw

Also see the wind flow around and over buildings and mountains at 10m30s in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw-opH4f8Qg&#t=10m30s

The sim in this state is a hot, stuttering mess. It will take a lot of patches to make it even remotely enjoyable. I am not talking about taking a Cessna over a forest. Take the Neo and try to fly from major hub to hub - it's really bad - no matter the settings or the resolution, it's just not ready.

On the runway in KCLE (Photogrammetry city)  with the  CJ4 . Weather:  Rain.  Settings on Ultra @ Widescreen 3440x1440.  About what I seen in the last beta build.

I see you're running 1080p. Listing the resolution is extremely important in MFS. Please state it in any posts where you include CPU, GPU, RAM etc.

I’m sorry Ray I have a really silly question

When we are talking about resolution do you mean the setting ‘full screen resolution” under display mode in the sim settings? Is this just my screen resolution or is there a another setting I am missing to change from 4K to 2k?

If I adjust this setting my screen looks strange and out of proportion so not sure if this is the same.

If I remember right P3D has screen resolution and texture resolution seperate

I don't have MFS so can't see the options available to you. I'm referring to actual screen resolution such as 1920*1080, 2560*1440 or 3840*2160. Generally you should always run at what is known as native resolution - i.e. the highest resolution your monitor supports. Usually one of those unless you have an altra-wide screen in which case just look at the vertical aspect such as 1080 or 1440.

Texture resolution is something completely different.
