Vancouver in MSFS

Featured Replies

The airport isn’t too detailed, but Vancouver is one the cities done in photogrammetry, so it looks quite nice out of the box. These shots were done in life weather

My specs: Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.6 Ghz, NVidia GeForce GTX970, 32GB RAM

Except for clouds and buildings, which I have set to ultra, all my other settings are mostly in high, with a few like trees, water in medium. I have even over cities like Vancouver no stutters etc. My FPS are set to 30 max

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

Awesome.... I'll have to add that place to my list to visit.

Wow! I live in Greater Vancouver, and I'm surprised at how great those pictures look.

I haven't gotten FS2020 yet ... just waiting for the sim to stabilize and for some third-party airliners to show up before I buy.

Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)

Bernd:

Beautiful shots of the city....the (downtown) buildings are so dense (your "Ultra" setting), yet, I don't see any abnormal (ground) textures between the high-rises...(that I've sometimes seen with Autogen)...very nice, here,....

I really liked the last image....must be beautiful to fly over it....

[I've been reading about the SIM's limitations on Aircraft/AP etc., and they will come in due course, or, for the time being, to that end, I can just continue to use my current SIM's higher-fidelity aircraft, NP,...But, personally, this, here, opens up a whole new world of VFR for me...I'll wait a bit, though, to partake in it (with a newer system)...but, this is really great, thanks...!]

And, Bernd, I know...🙂...you're a mountain "aficionado", somewhat like me, so, maybe we'll (soon) see some screenshots from those types of regions...!

Yea Vancouver area looks really great. But CYVR is not very good at all. We really need the sdk to allow the community of users to fix the airports up. Gate assignments, taxi naming, etc.
