Toronto downtown buildings missing

Featured Replies

What happened to Toronto?  I saw preview videos with the landmark buildings in place, but the CN Tower is just a solid column..

Does anyone have the correct buildings?

These were custom buildings... no idea how to answer your question..

I flew around in Toronto yesterday and it was there...That’s odd.

This is what I have - settings on ultra. Someone else posted a screenshot as well and it was the same...

I hope that will help troubleshoot the problem. Some of us are trying to figure out why the textures are so bad.

OK, at least you have the tower.. how do you create a screenshot in MSFS?

That was from Steam's screenshot facility.

Those buildings are from the Photogrammetry, not custom models. So you need that enabled to see them.

Do you have the online features enabled? The picture I showed above, you need Bing Data World Graphics, and Photogrammetry enabled.

Yep this means it is not loading off the server for you, that CN Tower is modeled but you are gettting it's placemaker not the actual model

EDIT: Just saw your post above glad you sorted, TOronto is modeled quite well enough I enjoyed flying over it 😎

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

This is a great example of the limitations of photogrammetry in the sim as it is at the moment. Someone on another thread mentioned that T.O. looked much better in the alpha. I can't comment, because I wasn't in the alpha. If it did, however, perhaps there have been some performance optimizations applied herein. I think they might have gone a bit too far in this case, though. IMHO, the hand constructed model from Skyline Simulations is much cleaner, although it looks to be somewhat less complete.

Buildings still look awful with the photogrammetry turned on. CYTZ and downtown buildings need a remake
