How to disable instruments in external view?

Featured Replies

Sorry for this question I assume it has already been answered somewhere, I just couldn't find it..

Can the instruments in external camera view be disabled?

Or can the most important data maybe be shown in FS X style on the right side of the screen?

Thank you!

By using the drone, I think 🙂

Intel i9 - GPU RTX 3080 - 32 gig RAM HyperX Fury DDR 4

General Options > Camera > Chase Camera > Instrument Heads-Up Display (HUD) set to OFF

Good question.

I've been trying to remove the HUD aswell for some screenshot but as mentioned above I think it's only possible by using the drone.

Please make sure you're in the General Options section, then in the left side navigation menu select Camera, then scroll down to the Chase Camera section. 😉

Update: Oct 2021

Just after the latest update. I had the HUD displayed on my external views.

The solution below is not a Toggle but simply a way to clear it or put it back on.

1) The  General Options > Camera > Chase Camera > Instrument Heads-Up Display (HUD) - is no longer present!

2) Go to the ASSISTANCE OPTIONS - USER EXPERIENCE. Click the down arrow, see Instrument Heads-up Display -Chase Cam. Switch this to OFF

Hope this Helps
