Active Camera - I Miss You!!

Featured Replies

Microsoft had to know that Active Camera allowed saved vc views with a couple of keystrokes. Then recalling the view was as easy as "Control plus 1" as an example. I saved 10 views for each aircraft. So why does Microsoft intentionally dumb down their camera system for FSX? They made good progress over FS9 but left out the best part of Active Camera. It makes no sense to me.

I have a correction. The FSX head latency does work on the runway.. except its very subtle. Need to find out..which variable and try to increase it.Its prominent when you are in the rough. I mean.. outside the runway...in rough terrain.MAnny

I'm sure a lot of people would pay for a AC update: the dev of AC is missing a lot of income. Indeed, if someone else could make a comparable pluging, he'd make quit a lot of money in no time. I surely would pay for it. Which doesn't mean that a free utility isn't welcome, of course... ;)

It's easy to do an addon that does what you want.Posted this morning in fsdeveloper wiki how to use the flt file to change cameras views. There is a set camera view simconnect function. So everything needed is available except the program :).Jos

Hi..according to serge i was one of the 1st buyers of Active Camera.that must be around 20023,can't remember now.anyway.my point is.....I miss it SSSOOOO MUCH I'M POSTING tWICE:-) :-) :-) STEVE

Here's the link:http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?...e_cameras_viewsInteresting! You can of course also edit an existing view to your liking: that's what I'm planning to do. I mainly fly the Baron with the G1000: it's got a lot of views under the A which I do not need, so I'll just replace the old info with my new info. This eliminates the need for making up new GUID's and CameraDefenitions. If I'm not mistaken... So I'll go the the standard VC view, edit it, save the flight and copy the info from the standard VC view to the info under one of the views I don't need. This will also give me the options I need (like beig able to look around, which you can't do in most other A-views in the baron).Thx for this clever approach! I'll give it a try tonight!
