Any one else using an xbox controller?

Featured Replies

I have a mobile setup using my laptop and a Sony DS4 controller that's mapped as a Xbox controller.

Anyone else have this setup and having a real hard time with the main menu going haywire like the controller is interfering with the mouse? I have to disable the controller just to navigate the main menu..

Are you using the controller with a USB cable? I am (until my Honeycomb yoke arrives) and it works well enough with no interference at all (Desktop PC rather than laptop). I'm not sure if the PS4 controller would work wirelessly but as I find the connection a bit flaky (with any game) wirelessly, I haven't tried.

Edit: One issue I did have was the sim suddenly said it had found a new controller which it couldn't map. This was mid-flight and it had somehow lost the controller and re-found it, but as a generic 14 button controller. Restarting the sim sorted that and it was recognised as a DS4 again.

I'm using Xbox controller for controlling drone camera. Works fine. Only catch is that the first time it got connected, MSFS automatically assigned joystick and throttle to it. I had to clear these assignments so my HOTAS worked again.

I'm using an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. I have a CH Products yoke and rudder but don't have the time to configure them right now.

The rudder controls (rt and lt) are the bane of my existence right now. The axis controls are twitchy but I can dial back the sensitivity and at least accept it right now.

The triggers though need an adjustment option

I do, only for the control of the camera, it's pretty easy with it... Otherwise, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Saitek X56 Throttle.

Intel i9 - GPU RTX 3080 - 32 gig RAM HyperX Fury DDR 4

Using only an XBOX Controller (wireless with the dongle) and it's flawless. Once you turn down sensitivity by 75% on all axis' however.
