Thats easy. The best you can find with a Ampere 30xx series card.... oh yah they aren't out yet.

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Just ordered a 10900k and plan on ordering a 3090 as soon as they come available.

Probably still won't be enough to play on ultra on a 4k but it should be better than what I'm on now.

The only thing I could think of with my current hardware would be a 2080Ti vs my Super and a larger nvme drive so I could fit MSFS on it though it’s still on a sata ssd. However I think a Ti would have been a waste. 50-80% more $$ vs my FTW3 edition Super depending on which one for just a few FPS. Glad I saved the $$ to eventually put towards a 3xxx card.

AMD Ryzen 9950X3D | Asrock X870E Taichi | Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 w/EK waterblock | Full Custom Loop Cooling | Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6000 | Samsung & WD NVME/SSDs | Phanteks Enthoo 719 | Seasonic Vertex Gold 1200W | Keychron Q5 Max | Corsiar Scimitar Elite SE Wireless | Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo | Logitech Pro Flight Pedals | VKB Gladiator Pro NXT L&R handed | MiniCockpit MiniFCU | Alienware AW34DWF | Asus PG279Q | Win 11 Pro

I think if you want 4K, then the 3080ti is going to be mandatory. The 2080ti (I already have) just isn’t enough. My 32GB RAM, Intel 8 Core CPU, and dual NVMe drives seem perfectly fine.

As a new flight sim enthusiast the flight controllers were my biggest investment over the last month.

3600X, 1080Ti, 16 GB RAM 3200, 2x NVME, ASROCK B450 Pro4, 30 FPS 4K Ultra

I am very happy with my system and would not change a thing for now.

I am not ready to drop 1500 bucks for a 3090 to make sure I can run volumetric clouds ultra at all places on the world. I just drop the clouds slider or change the weather setting if I want a boost on one of my flights.

I wont to be able to run this without having to worry  about being short pc power . Thats why i wanted to ask you guys with newer hardware.

It’s going to be at least 1 probably two more generations or more of hardware before you will be able to run at max settings everywhere in 60fps 4k including traffic sliders.

Why aim for 60fps and not 288hz? 😉

Have you used previously versions, not counting FSX which never was properly optimized?  FS2002 and 2004 both took a couple gens before you could max them. Could be different with Asobo running it vs the old Aces studio and how computing works now, and I certainly hope that’s the case believe me. However I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a couple gens though.

I had been going at this way before FS2002. The idea of this thread is just to see what people have now working so i have a better idea on what to upgrade to and thats it . Hope you get the message now .

There's a huge leap in performance coming from the new GPU's. The 3070 alone blows away the performance of the current 2080ti, so couple that with the upcoming next gen processors and this will be running more than fine. This isnt a regular game anyways, you won't be getting 100+ fps in a 1:1 scale real world sim. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ This isnt a first person shooter, you don't need 100-150 fps. 👍

Im above 30 fps on 4k high end/ultra mixed settings as it is with my Zen 7 3700x,  OC'd evga 2080 super and 32gb ddr4 3200mhz. Besides landing at KLAX with a full airport of Commercial airliners I havent had a stutter once. Turned off multiplayer, and turned off aa and Vsync. Running both level of detail sliders at 180 of 200. Next gen will more than handle this game.

The Ti gets a whopping 5 fps more than the Super in MSFS. Less if your super is OC'd
