20.8.3 dropped today, no mention of MSFS being added to Adrenaline for store buyers, but when any of you install, please update us as to whether you can now select MSFS in Adrenaline.

I can confirm that the latest update does indeed have FS 2020 support.  Big difference.  Support for 3 multi monitors was added in the form of AMD Eyefinity.  When enabled my 3 monitors act as one.  Greater resolutions for this were also added to FS under graphics.  So far I like it.  Performance is much greater too especially in NY

Yeap, I have MSFS from MS Store and on newest 20.8.3 AMD Software automatically detects Flight Simulator.

Will test it tomorrow.

I wonder if this will help my crashing to desktop issue.

Instead of 30fps as standard, I find I'm getting a 7 or 8fps increase in medium density areas and sometimes in the mid-forties. Even in NY, where it was dropping as low as 11fps at times, I was getting about 20fps. This is everything at Ultra, 1080p, even though MSFS recommended High settings after installation. Definite improvement over the previous Adrenaline release.👍

I have changed the ATI software itself to now automatically detect and D/L Driver and Software updates (I used to do this manually), since MSFS will be patching fairly regularly and banging out new features, I want the GPU to have the latest drivers ASAP.

Do you completely uninstall the old driver version first, or do you install the new version over the old one? Because the advice always seems to be to uninstall the old drivers first, which I always find to be rather cumbersome.

Yup, if doing it manually I bin off the old version. It's tedious, but it guarantees you won't have problems with remnants of old stuff.

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

The newest adrenaline drivers do support MSFS 2020.  The only ATI  specific setting I have is GPU cool or GPU chill which allows me to set min and max FPS.  I prioritize smooth consistent frame rate over raw FPS.  30FPS in the drivers allows me to set the quality settings in my simulator much higher and still provides consistent performance with my RX580.  I can fly satisfactorily in most Cruise configurations almost everything at Ultra.  My bottle neck is my CPU.  I get severely thread limited when new scenery loads.  Especially in dense areas.  Hopefully my new i7 replacing my i5 will help with its ability to hyperthread.

Hoping someone can help or any comments would be helpful: I am running FS2020 on an AMD 5 3600 Six core CPU - 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000 Ram - an Radeon 8GB RX5500 XT on a ASUS MB TufX570 Plus Gaming. I have over 70 hours logged on MSFS now so the Sim is running or has been. I have had lots of issues since the last update so much so that the Sim will not run with any extra Scenery Software at all (ORBX or freeware). Usually runs for 10 mins and stutters and a CTD ensues. I have tried lots of settings High to medium messed about with the Radeon GPU settings Boost etc but nothing helps at all.

Update is, the Simulator runs fine now on High Settings with a FPS of 40+ but I have no addon scenery. Has anyone else similar issues? Do you think it is my GPU or the Sim that has the issue and any suggestions to get my addons back on with the Sim running.

My Event Viewer gives the common Error that I think a lot of people have:

I have been getting that among other things as well, it really happens with no rhyme or reason.

You should check the OrbX forums first to see if other people are having the same problem with the add on.  Note that putting in more add ons leads to a sim that is less stable and more buggy.  That is the nature of add ons.  The worst is when there are multiple add ons because that can trigger some bug that neither of the add on makers tested.

I only have/had one Booker EGTB it worked fine for the first month or so. The crashing to Desktop then started mainly on final approach or sometimes when climbing out (about 10 mins max). Tried lots of stuff to fix it reloading GPU updates etc changing the Page file storage. The only thing I hadn't done is mess with the windows updates, not sure if I want to head down that route. It works fine in the default with no addons. Really hoping that a Fix comes out soon. There are a few forums with people having the same issue but saw this thread the Radeon Graphics card.

Ok hope this helps someone else in the Sim world out there. I have fixed my FS sim that I now realise was never broken at all. About two weeks ago I reinstalled MSFS as I had had some issues mainly with a confliction of scenery's I think ORBX London City and the London Landmarks (I didn't know that this was the problem at the time) I then proceeded to slowly install my addon scenery only to find that there was now a major issue of nothing working and lots of CTD's on final to the addons, see my posts in this thread. What I had not realised and I cannot find any information on this, or where is says its required, is you need to have the sim set to display Bing World Photogrammetry for the ORBX software to work to function as it was so designed with this in place. So if you are having CTD's on final approach to an addon Freeware or Paid Software then make sure you have Bing World Data set to on. If then it still does not work then you have another problem. I wasted two weeks as I forgotten to switch it back on I hope this thread saves someone somewhere some time.
