September 19, 20205 yr This doesn't however, fix the dome light. Still working on that. Edit: Now I feel like an word not allowed, I was wondering what that little knob was for under the yoke... The dome light needs to be turned up when you start from cold and dark. Edited September 19, 20205 yr by FlyingsCool Tom Perry

The question is how did you manage to merge the liveries to work with the realism mod? Because I can only get either the liveries to work, or the realism mod to work, not both at the same time. They both sit in the same community folder. Thanks in advance. I don't know what liveries you're trying to use. The way I have it set up is this mod is in C152X in my Community directory. Then I also installed the megapack liveries, which includes a set of C-152 liveries. I then added my own liveries to the same directory of liveries as the megapack liveries by editing the layout.json and aircraft.cfg to add my liveries to it. For two of my liveries, I added a panel.cfg to them to modify the registration number on the fuselage. That panel.cfg file and panel.xml files override the same files in the C152X mod. Otherwise, it just works for me. I didn't do anything other than that. I am using use Premium Store version. Tom Perry
September 19, 20205 yr Author Trying to understand exactly (and hopefully address if necessary) the issues some people seem to be having with the electrical system/radio lights etc. With the latest V0.16 I am not seeing any major problems with things not working or unusable etc. I am currently still working on some ideas to further improve the electrical system/alternator/battery behaviour etc, so it still very much work in progress in this area. I am wondering if there are possibly conflicts between various user installed mods occurring here? In my case I have no liveries installed, just the C152X mod and the untouched default asobo C152 in the official folder. If people are having significant issues, would be useful to get a description of the problem and steps to reproduce and also the relevant mod(s) if any that may be conflicting. BTW, do you have a Discord server up for this? If not, maybe you should consider creating a Discord server like the other airplane projects for MSFS. You could get real time feedback and even additional help from people that want to help you. In any case, your mod is a great benefit for the community! September 27, 20205 yr Just got V 0.16 today, and it's a wonder! I've been flying VOR to VOR and ILS only with clouds down to just above minima, and I'm finally able to fly a realistic ILS as well as trim out to a stable flight. The skittishness is gone, and those needles behave like the real thing. Many thanks. Oh, by the way, please don't put an autopilot into the C152! Let it remain a mere extension of my mind - as I'm sure was intended!

September 27, 20205 yr Radio is dim, and volume needs to be turned on. Is that something that can be saved in the config?
September 27, 20205 yr I started my flying lessons in a 152 years ago, so I'm excited about this mod. I read in the description that you can discharge the battery. I'm running a steam edition with the latest .16 mod. After a few startups, but no flight or extended idle, when I tried another start I only got about half a turn of the engine and then nothing. Had I discharged the battery? How do you recharge it? I removed the mod from my community folder, loaded the sim, closed down, reloaded the mod and it started right up (using Saitek/Logitech switch panel which works beautifully BTW). Is there a repair screen that I'm unaware of?
September 27, 20205 yr The issue with any mods of this type is the most recent one loaded will overwrite any earlier mods in the startup sequence in addition to the default settings. This is compounded if the mod creator dumps the whole config file in his mod folder and just tweaks a few items ( rather than just create a leaner mod file that just modifies a few settings). What happens in that case is the mod overwrites all the settings for the aircraft with the version current at the time the mod was created, ignoring any official updates of othe rmods. That said, this is a good mod and goes some way towards making the 152 closer to a real one, at least when landing it is a little less floaty and sensitive to back stick if your a fraction fast..

Aircraft will now stall at a significantly higher speed. Numerous changes to engine performance, now in accordance with Lycoming O-235L2C (115HP, 2700RPM) See note below. Fuel consumption adjusted. Long Range Fuel Tanks 37.5USG total useable. See note below. Fuel Gauges correctly calibrated. Fuel Gauge indications will vary realistically in out of balance flight (depending on quantity of fuel in tank) and also on the ground when the aircraft is not wings level. Flight tested to verify climb, cruise, service ceiling, fuel consumption etc in accordance with published information. Oil Temperature Gauge - gauge calibration and oil temperature modelling adjusted. Oil Pressure Gauge - gauge calibration and oil pressure modelling adjusted. Electrical system - completely remodelled, using documented electrical loads etc. Now models realistic battery discharge/charge and subsequent electrical system behaviour. If battery goes flat, various systems will fail at various voltage levels as the battery discharges. Ammeter - gauge calibration and behaviour. Low voltage light now comes on below ~ 1000 RPM as in real life. OAT thermometer now operates regardless of the position of the master switch. The overhead (Dome) light can now be dimmed by the dimmer knob below the pilot control yoke. Notes: The default aircraft panel has a Tachometer with a 2700RPM redline. As a result I have taken the decision to model the C152 with the corresponding and slightly uprated 115HP engine. (It is essentially the same engine as the 'standard' C152 Lycoming engine with 110HP/2550RPM redline, with a few extra horsepower gained from the additional RPM. The standard performance charts eg cruise power settings etc will still be valid. The extra horsepower means slightly better takeoff and go-around performance and a slightly higher service ceiling. The current version tested in the sim has a service ceiling around 15,500ft.) The default aircraft panel depicted fuel gauges for Long Range Tanks (37.5USG) but the sim data was for Short Range Tanks (24.5USG useable). Again I have taken the decision to model the Long Range Tanks. This now gives the aircraft a nearly 9 hour endurance and a range of up to 670 nm. This makes the aircraft much more capable of long range flights in the sim, and I think much more useful. (Round the world type flight capability. :)) I have not tested this Mod in any of the activities, lessons etc that may utilise the default aircraft. I can't guarantee that it will not cause issues in some of these situations. Use at your own risk. 🙂 how do you install - when I click download it gives me a master folder - does this give me the latest v0.16?
