Oh yea, i've had the XCUB from day one, amazing. Their repaints are also very good.

Small problem. I've downloaded and installed the 215kts mod as per instruction but it's not showing up ingame. Have I missed something? I wonder, do you have to have the 180kts one as well?

EDIT: Seems not.

Ron did you pull the aircraft list all the way back Left? It shows up as 1st in list, reading left to right. and It's got UI Manufacture in the Title. At least it istn't named as I thought it would be.

OK, I've got a bit of a handle on it now. I thought it wasn't installed because only the existing X-Cub was in the line-up. However, while I was tooling around in it I noticed a badge+flags on the panel. Must be the one! What threw me was there was no third tank in the fuel menu. Also the rate of knots was no different. (I substituted the 215 for the 180 version.

Anyway, it flies very well.

If you want something recognizable to show up, try editing the aircraft.cfg file:

Downloaded the Xcub and installed the 180HP version, took it for a jaunt around Lord Howe very nice.

I will probably eventually modify the files to allow me to fly both mods from the selection window.

 

The only oddity is, just like the default XCub, it spawns with parking brake "on" even though it does not have one (it is an owner fitted optional addon that is not modelled in the cockpit) .

One wrk around is just open the systems.cfg file and make the following change. :

[BRAKES]
parking_brake = 0 ; BrakeTypes enum

NOTE - what this actually does is temporarily REVERSES the parking brake so hitting the mapped button temporarily takes your brakes off if you have them applied, though your brakes work fine if you cycle them -  but for all intents and purposes it disables them for normal ops in this  aircraft.

Glen- I just mapped . (period) to TOGGLE PARKING BRAKE and a single tap of that turns them on and off.  That way I have wheel brakes (applied cautiously with full up elevator, as she likes to prop strike if applied ham-fistedly).

Ok. Back to the C152X Realism Mod. Anyone else's tach not working in this wonderful mod. Just about my favorite plane in MSFS2020, and I have almost all of them.
