To all those happy and content with this PC Beta version issued by Microsoft on August 19, 2020:

Would anyone here buy a brand new car with the doughnut spare tire on, and three real tires?

Yep for 170 bucks, perspective

Stream it? From where? That's not how Gamepass works.

But that`s how it will work in the future on XBOX  Series S Game pass.

Why have you linked to two irrelevant things? Xbox Gamepass is not a streaming service. Where do you get your information from, you post incorrect stuff all of the time.

They are not incorrect: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/cloud-gaming/home XBox and Sony and others have been working on streaming game services for a while.  Its been pretty widely publicized.

Well I apologise but he needs to start linking to the correct sites, not ones that are irrelevant.

That said, the original comment I replied to has always been the case, you've never had to buy MFS to play it.

Any access to MSFS via xCloud streaming is unlikely until at least sometime next year, when they upgrade the server blades to Xbox Series X hardware.  The current blades are Xbox One S, which would probably melt if it tried to run MSFS.

Game Pass just gives you access to a changing list of games as part of a monthly charge.  You still have to download and install them right now, like anyone else.  The console has nothing to do with it, because Game Pass also exists for PC.  That future is already here.

"Series S" and "Series X" are just model names for Microsoft's two next-generation consoles.

Yeah it will be a while before MSFS if ever gets on the streaming service but I can see it happening.  There is so much being done at their cloud services already so I think its a small leap that they could do the rendering and stream it to your home some point in the future.

It'll 100% be on xCloud streaming, once the xCloud hardware is upgraded (and once the console port is done).  But we don't have windows for either of those things to be done yet.

So Phil Spencer was wrong when he said no more downloading games on the new game consoles then.

You stated Gamepass. With Gamepass you download the games and play them on the console.

It's been three weeks, and we haven't even had the first patch for anything in the "in-sim experience" yet.

Glad to hear that the issue with SimConnect didn't cause you a problem at any stage.

I need to see context for what you're referring to, because that doesn't make sense.  The Xbox Series S doesn't even have a disc drive, which means the ONLY way you'd ever play a game on it locally, is via downloading.  And Game Pass also requires you to download the games in question, aside from the ones that will also be supported in their first wave of xCloud streaming titles

Yes and the future game consoles will be optimised for streaming. which like MSFS will be free on game pass as well as multiplayer.

You said Gamepass subscribers don't have to buy MFS. They've never had to buy it, that has been known for over a year.
