MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR (10 DISKS)

Featured Replies

Can someone please put me out of my misery. After installing all 10 disks I cannot find how to start the program.  Probably me being thick but I am dying to try the Flight Sim.

Thanks in advance.

David

Put the first disc back  back in your CD drive and then start the sim

Disc 1 needs to be present at all times when flying this sim

Why? ask Microsoft!
Disc 1 is the Game Disc though they don’t tell you that!

Hi

Thanks for the swift reply.  I did has you said, inserted the first disk and clicked on setup.exe but nothing happened,

David

If you have already installed the sim, you should have an icon on your desktop or in your start menu for it.  Insert Disc 1 and double click the MFS Icon which should launch the sim.  You don't need the setup.exe.

You need the disc in the drive as a copy protection measure. In the old days every game you bought on disc had to have it in the drive for it to work. Still the case for PS4 and XBOX games you buy on disc.

So that you can't just hand the discs to someone else, and give them MSFS for free.

And also there is no icon on desktop or in start menu.

Hi David,

Type the word flight in the search box, as shown in the screenshot below and you should see the App info displayed. Then either click on Open of Run as administrator to launch the App.

Cheers,

Jerome

Or, ask anyone that sells/sold games on physical media...
