September 11, 20205 yr Hi Guys' I would like a to know if I am missing any tricks with this new PC I am ordering hopefully at 2pm 17th when the 3080 go live here in the UK. I have used their PC's for the last 10 year and never had any problems at all, and I like they come overclock and never let me down. But before I go ahead I thought I would ask you gurus for anything I might want to add. I am changing the RAM to 32GB https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team-group-8pack-edition-32gb-2x16gb-ddr4-pc4-25600c14-3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-my-003-8p.html Adding a 2nd M.2 for MSFS/P3D https://www.overclockers.co.uk/samsung-970-evo-plus-1tb-m.2-2280-pci-e-3.0-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-hd-23y-sa.html and the PC is, a 10900k all cores overclocked to 4.9 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-gaming-germanium-z4-overclocked-gaming-pc-intel-core-i9-10900k-4.9ghz-fs-1ec-og.html#t=d1f8k4 Anything you would add? I received advice at the Microcenter "Build your own" counter in regard to my cooler and PSU that appears to have been excellent advice. This system is so very quiet that I have only barely heard it on a couple of occasions. It is literally as quiet as an iPad. Totally amazing. I am not yet OC, have not found the need. The cooler is specifically the H100i Pro model. I also carefully reviewed MOB options to the the types of i/o I wanted. Especially USB-C. Wanted it on the rear panel but also with an additional block to feed USB-C to the front panel, which my case does provide. Thank you. I note that they don't tell you the make of the PSU or RAM. So you don't know if it's a quality make. When you know the above, I would price the components up, so you know how much they are charging to build it for you. The EvolvX is a lovely case by the way. Looks like it's there own brand of AIO too. I recall its an Asetek cooler. No idea how it performs or build quality. So check that out. Edited September 11, 20205 yr by martin-w

September 12, 20205 yr I am using the 3rd pc I have built. The first was a Core2 Duo back in 2007. My pc is 2 years old now and not quite up to your intended level. I just wish to tell you my preferred options. I use PCMech for technical and quality of provider advice. And I use NewEgg for purchases. Not quite the lowest prices at all times but their customer service is excellent and unequaled. Just a FYI. I'm sure you could build your own machine. I have no knowledge of overclocking- I purchase unlocked cpus but have never felt the need to actually try it.
