Do not upgrade your CPU !!

Recommended Posts

I was going to replace my 6700k with a Ryzen 4000 later this year/beginning of next. I tried process lasso and now it is butter 99% of the time. I play in ultra preset at 1440p.

Not sure if I'm supposed to ask and if not, please delete but...

But I have an i77700K, 32GB ram (16x2), 1080ti.  Now that folks have had time to play around, how would my computer hold up?

Thanks.

It would work beautifully at 1080p and 1440p

I would agree on not being in rush to update CPU. just like has been mentioned in a few  forum threads, my 9900K sits idly by with about 30% overall utilization,  while my 2080S is close to maxing out on a 4K display. My best bet will be to upgrade to a 3090 since the GPU seems to be the bottle neck in my case.

100% issue with mine. My 9900k at 25-30% Utilization and my 2080 Syper at 100%. WT H ?

I have the same specs and the performance is very good at 1440p with High settings. 70 fps in remote areas and 40-50 in Manhattan with the C152.

Talking about airliners I can run the JFK landing challenge with the 747 between 35 and 40 fps. Very few stutters since the patch.

If you want to push it to Ultra, then you need a CPU with more cores and a better video card.

So again after flying some time it started again. I am losing it...😪

I have i7 7700k (no OC), GTX 1080, 32RAM (3200)

I can run 1080p High settings....LOD OBJ and TERR @200 with no stutters.

Where is your monitor locked (i am at 30hz)?

Are your frames limited in MSFS (i am at 60fps locked)?

Yes i tried locking from 45 all the way down to 32. Tried with G-Sync on/off. Its like something in the CPU utilization gets screwed up after some flying around. Even in remote areas.

May not work, but try my settings...

TV / Monitor locked at 30hz, sim at 60 fps (for me, the sim seems to introduce stutters below 60). These settings helped a few people at the very beginning...and what has helped me remove stutters.

If it's a G-Sync monitor it sure can.  Just set the hardware refresh rate in nVidia Control Panel to 30 Hz.

If you're referring to the NCP, if there's no 30 Hz option already there (there should be) you can create a custom resolution set at 30 Hz.

Tried now. I get a message on screen "out of range"

If you ask me this stutters (almost complete pause for a second) are from data loading or something like this unlike screen refresh issue.
