October 1, 20205 yr You probably all know the first one, the street lights in MSFS look like UFOs. For each light, there is a source, but nothing beneath, they are just hanging in the air like magic. I don't blame Asobo for this, I guess they did it to optimize performance. Flying lights The second is more serious: there is a bug in the Garmin information regarding the runway length. It is in FT while it should be in meters. On this screenshot, LFBD runway has a length of 3048m and not 3048ft. Runway Length (sorry for the links, I was unable to insert images from URL) My Web Site
October 1, 20205 yr I hope you have also reported these on the official MFS forum - or where ever they are accepting bug reports.
October 1, 20205 yr Garmin is selectable units in real life... I fly in the US and appreciate the default to imperial units. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

I don't think the simulated Garmin has selectable units, never saw this, but even if it has, the information shown here is wrong. I realized by looking at some small airfields around, some had a 700 ft runway (200 m). How can you land an aircraft on a so short distance? 😊 My Web Site

Regarding the lights, you get the same effect in P3D including Orbx. There are thousands of 400-800 runways in the US alone. I know the Cub could land short, but I didn't think it was that short 🙂 When I was flying for real (Socata TB-9 Tampico), the shortest runway I used was 600 meters, and it was not easy. Definitely not the same kind of aircraft... My Web Site
