Is trolling your preferred activity when you're pretending to be a pilot in the other sims and get bored because there's nothing worth looking in the cartoon world below when you reach cruise and engage the AP?

LOL... Nope, just having fun with all the pretend pilots here. Nothing like hand flying a DC-3TP in real life, by the way!! Hardly cartoonish!

I think everybody, you dont need to know anything about flying to enjoy it, then the more you learn and educate yourself it gets even more enjoyable, soon you will buy advanced planes and scenery and you will be out of money, but you have a great hobby for the rest of  your life.

Probably the best post here. Well said..It's all about immersion & growing your hobby.. A wise developer, passed on now, had a big Comment on his site..

Simming is all about Facts, Fiction & Fun.

Give it a west, Wobbie (using my best Elmer Fudd impression).

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood your real agenda was to let everyone know, twice, you've flown a real plane.  Good boy

Erm.. I'm a pilot!! (Real) Only a PPL, though!

is it the VPPL you were speaking of here:

"...Having said that, I do have 'wings' for qualifying a VPPL. (V for virtual) & our instructor at our Virtual Club, here in Cape Town, South Africa, has a Green Jacket, with our national sports emblem, a Spring buck, issued to him by our countrie's National Sports Body, as he had represented South Africa in an international virtual sports event. So, virtual flying is recognized as a sport, here in South Africa, and my VPPL was presented to me as I had passed all tests as per the real PPL. "

This is getting better and better @Wobbie

😂

It's even worse if he is a real pilot, because real pilots should know that short of VR flying a Predator drone from Nellis, there's nothing that can come close to real flying.

That said, I play MSFS Multiplayer with a buddy who flies the F-18 in the Navy. I used to fly something slower but I left the business. For those concerned, we both call it a flight sim.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
