October 12, 20205 yr This is more for general digestion than anything specific just yet, but, the engine performance section of the Bonanza edition of the G1000 doesn't have anything specific we can use to fine tune the mixture settings when we are climbing to the higher altitudes and especially when we settle down for a long cruise at say FL190 or in that neighborhood. My current mixture setting is at 25% according to the Large Print tool tip. I am tooling along between Central Florida and Mobile at 19,500 feet VFR. (Yea, I know I should be IFR above FL180 but this in Monday morning in a flight sim) and clicking off 208 kts TAS @ -19 deg C OAT and showing 94 pph (maybe I need to convert that to gal/hr) 15.98 gal/hr but I think that is using the weight of jet fuel. Call it 16.0 gal/hr. Anyway, I am thinking one of these Mod Squad guys could add the EGT and %HP numbers to the G1000 and actually replace the useless CHT green bar. And while they are at it they could also replace the FFLOW GPH with a digital readout in tenths in both gal/hr and in pph. Oh, and we need the tenth digit added to the MP number up top. Comments? October 12, 20205 yr @raymar Mixture and MAP/Prop interaction is indeed buggered (but apparently locked down). I'm at F240 from Sedona to Vegas and 22.9MAP Firewalled, props at 2500RPM. I have played with mixture throughout and the best I can get it 11.9GPH (which is LOW) but either side of that and it drops even further. Maybe tomorrow's update will help... I REALLY appreciate all your graphics (I save each one). I do have an old POH but the turbo-normalized stuff is beyond my old A36 days. Ta Ray! October 12, 20205 yr Ray- I have the tooltip OFF mod installed, but the bottom of the mixture lever is in the middle of the M... TAS 195 and we are booking along at F240... never been this high in a piston before 🙂 I have played with the Mixture a lot, all the way back to almost cut out or forward and the 11.9 seems the sweet spot at the moment..... October 12, 20205 yr If you install the Working Title G1000 mod you get a page on the engine display with EGTs. It also has the tenth digit for the manifold pressure, and the gallons per hour. And there is a page that shows range and endurance at current fuel consumption. With the hard coded mixture routines I think it's the best we can get right now. I ask, because the Gibhub teams are not consistent in where the place and how they name their latest releases. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Regards, Ray I can't speak to anyone else, but the Working Title stuff has all been very consistently named. It does give slightly optimistic readings compared with the default. I don't know which is more accurate, but the mod is detailed and gives really useful extra read-outs. It's 100% compatible with my mod and works superbly. I'm a big fan of its no-terrain Primary Display option which looks fantastic. I don't know if there are any clashes between that mod and the also excellent G36 improvement GitHub team mod. We are spoiled for choice! I have it downloaded and installed and loading up now. thanks. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 12, 20205 yr The first attempt to install the W/T G1000 v3.1 failed to show any of the items that I am looking for. I have removed a few other mods that may be interfering the the G1000 mod and rebooting and reloading now. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 12, 20205 yr Unfortunately, the v3.1 mod does not work on my system. I have cleared out all other mods that might interfere other than the merged Bonanza-Turbo-V1. I hate it when things go south like this. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 12, 20205 yr Will someone post an screenshot of that area of the MFD showing the updated/upgrading items that we are considering? Thanks. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 12, 20205 yr Try adding 'a-' to the front of the directory name for the G1000 to insure it loads first https://i.postimg.cc/vBM1b1Dn/20201010153451-1.jpg - 'ENGINE | LEAN | SYSTEM' in the lower left of the MFD, xx.x for the manifold, track-up mode on the MFD Edited October 12, 20205 yr by marsman2020 AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
