Hi all,

I have released my Bonanza G36 Turbo-Normalised engine mod with custom flight model, new lighting and six custom liveries.

Many thanks to  Romeo_Tango, Claudius_ and Flyfaster for testing the mod.

IMPORTANT!!!! After loading one of the liveries and before you fly, please move your aileron, elevator and rudder controls fully left/right, forward/back. For some reason there could be a bug in FS2020 with custom flight models that do not properly settle stick calibrations until you have moved all the control surfaces fully. This particularly happens if you reload/resync any aircraft after editing or using developer mode. Without full cycling your ailerons the pitch trim becomes linked to elevator movements.

This mod will enable the Bonanza to achieve 212 knots (243 mph) at 17,500 ft on cruise power and up to 222 knots (255 mph) on full power! It will climb at 1400 fpm at sea level and has full manifold pressure of 29+ inches all the way up to 18,000 feet. The ceiling is now extended to 25,000 feet

The turbo-aspirated Bonanza vastly increases the climb and cruise performance of the default Bonanza G36 and is based on turbo conversions available in the aviation industry for real Bonanza G36 and A36 owners. It is therefore not a fictional mod but faithfully re-creates the features and power of the turbo conversion.

Included are:

* Re-mapped turbo-powered engine for stunning performance
* Six custom liveries.
* Brighter navigation and strobe lights
* Ambient wing lighting
* Brighter and much longer range landing & taxi lights
* Subtle light reflections on tarmac surfaces
* Re-positioned and re-calibrated interior light for better visibility
* Better suspension and landing gear handling on the ground.
* Adjusted wheel brakes for easier differential brake-turning
* Elimination of twitchy rudder on the ground and take-off run
* Full steering angle at low speeds yet controllable at high speeds
* Rock steady autopilot at normal simulator speed at all altitudes
* Elimination of random twitchy behaviour in non turbulent conditions
* Temp gauges more realistic
* More accurate fuel flow
* Engine changed to 6 cylinders with correct displacement
* Elimination of “baked in” artificial oscillations that are not weather related
* Elimination of artificial movement not related to landscape or air mass
* Harmonised and balanced controls with no pitch bobbing up and down
* Accurate aileron authority and roll rates at all airspeeds
* Proper spins rather than the default spiral dive
* Full side slip capability with up to 33 degrees slip angle
*Correct climb rates and cruise speeds for the turbo version
*A complete overhaul of flight dynamics
*Compatible with Working-Title's G1000 mod

Using this mod will convert the default FS2020 Bonanza G36 into a turbo-aspirated aircraft with much higher climb rates and cruise speeds than the default aircraft. Included are also six custom liveries.

To install, extract the “Bonanza-Turbo-V1” folder of the zip file into your FS2020 packages\community folder. The paths  of the community folder slightly differ according to where you purchased the simulator (Microsoft direct or Steam). For guidance on the location of your community folder please go here:

As I am not in great health at the moment support will be somewhat limited. If it is not to your taste or you find it not to your liking, please remove the mod from your community folder and the default Bonanza will return. This mod does not alter any files in the official packages. Please don't complain too much about the mixture (this mod should be flown with manual mixture) which is improved but there is nothing I can do about the hard coded mixture routines which have been an issue since FS2004 and possibly earlier than that. 

Please do not re-upload this mod without my written permission. If anyone would like to upload to GitHub and knows the ropes please PM me. Thank you.

I would be interested in a "developer's log" of the kinds of problems you experienced and the level of effort it took to get things working.

In the end, are you happy with what you were able to achieve with a default MSFS aircraft?

You don't have to pay for a download at Nexus as far as I know. I certainly didn't downloading my own mod. I think you can opt for the "simple" download. As the files are less than 4 Megabytes in total I doubt it will take more than a few seconds. Thanks for your kind wishes.

Max is 2MB. After that user has to pay a monthly fee.

I just tried it again and it worked. I've seen this message many times from Nexus about a 2MB limit. I just tried again and it allowed me to download.

You do not pay for downloads at Nexus unless you want very fast speed.
