This means, if you have some 3rd party utility that needs to read the airport file for any reason, for example a Flight Planner that might need to read the parking or the navaids from the airport, will be unable to do so, since the airport file ( what used to be called "AFCAD" in FSX ) cannot be read. This is of course the current situation. Nobody knows if the MS DRM will improve at some point, either allowing developers to tell Microsoft not to encrypt some files, or allowing access to the airport data even if it's encrypted, for example using an updated Simconnect. Ahh, thanks! That's exactly the answer I wanted! Alright, thank you very much! i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
October 16, 20205 yr As the OP suggests is not really imminent. It's already available at FSDT website and at SimMarket. No need to wait to have it available through the MS Marketplace (which I personally tend to dislike). Unfortunately, once you leave downtown Vancouver, there isn't much photogrammetry. In fact, photogrammetry is missing for much of metro Vancovuer. It's not just Vancouver though. Other Canadian cities are missing photogrammetry for areas outside of downtown (ie. Edmonton, Calgary, etc). Compare metro Vancouver to say, metro Seattle. Seattle is the next closest major city to Vancouver but lucky for Seattle flyers, metro Seattle has awesome photogrammetry that covers much of the metro Seattle area. I'm hoping that Asobo will do an update for Canada soon, especially for Canadian cities with poor photogrammetry cover. Edited October 16, 20205 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

October 16, 20205 yr At that extremely competitive price for previous users, this is a no-brainer and will be my very first addon purchase for MSFS. Well done, Umberto. James
