So maybe sometimes hey mess up , But they are definitely NOT broken 100 percent unusable. Are you talking using the AP, or handflying? I would differentiate things as I did previously: flying IFR is doable. You can do it using the 152 if you want. If you hand-fly and ignore ATC, sure, you can fly IFR. I think I was pretty clear about that earlier. It's the automation (specifically the autopilots and interfaces) with the G1000 and G3000 which I would say are pretty widely recognized as being deficient. I hadn't tried IFR since the last two updates, just because I tried it using the AP in the Bonanza in the initial release version and it was just pointless. As I also said earlier, I'm a RL pilot, and I fly airplanes in the sim that I fly in real life. I don't really get much out of hopping in a plane that I have no idea how to fly and just "winging it," so to speak. However, I have been interested in the TBM since the sim was released, I just hadn't tried it yet. I just did, flying from Punta Cana to St. Maarten, and aside from a few ATC glitches (118.15 is the center frequency above 18k over San Juan, but it's also the ATIS, and when ATC handed me to San Juan Oceanic on 118.15 I got the ATIS instead), it was nothing short of brilliant. I had an absolute blast. So look, some people clearly just want to argue (I'm not referring to you). And it is absolutely undeniable that different people are having vastly different experiences using this sim. I answered the specific question OP asked, and I stand by my answer: it's fabulous for low and slow. If people want to nitpick and rant and rave, great. Let them. I'm enjoying the sim for what I use it for. The OP asked if it was good for VFR low and slow, and the answer is a resounding yes. Edited October 25, 20205 yr by mtr75

October 25, 20205 yr The C208 does not have autoland. If it happened to hit the runway at an angle that looked like a successful landing great, but that's not the intended use, and flying all the way down into the runway at typical descent speeds would not be good for the landing gear. LOL ok I tried really hard not to respond to this " I know more than you do" response but I cant resist. SO here we go . 1. I know it doesnt have auto land , no one said it did. 2. " at typical descent speeds would not be good for the landing gear. " SO untypical decent speeds are best? lol If typical descent speeds are bad then someone needs to update the POH. 3. " If it happened to hit the runway at an angle that looked like a successful landing great," You sound jealous of my ability to adjust power and flaps to affect a successful landing. I'll try hard to pretend more that this is a real airplane.. sorry. So i'll play my VIDEO GAME the way I want and you can play your VIDEO GAME the way you want too. PS I used to fly real life airplanes in the real world , I know how they are supposed to work. Edited October 25, 20205 yr by AmeliaCat add more sarcasm
October 25, 20205 yr I am going thru same problem different reason..I have been fusing since my Tandy 1000 a hundred years ago.My situation now just recently have changed living location and iI have no high speed internet. We use our phones and tablets.I understand that internet is a necessity.I can download and set up FS at my daughter`s house with her internet but then will need to run it without internet.I have been downloading sMSFX scenery and stuff to external hd at her house.A new computer to run FS would not be a problem. It is the internet access that is.Can I run it under these conditions?Thank you for any advice,Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.

(Unless you want to pre download the area you want to fly in). And that is ALOT of space if you are roaming around. Otherwise you are looking at autogen.. The issue with making statements like "I just left A/P on all the way down to the runway" is that there are a lot of new people here who may not be aware of how ILS works, and that unless it's a Cat IIIC system (both the aircraft A/P and the ILS) there is a point at which you're supposed to disengage and hand fly the flare and touchdown. Last I checked this is a simulation forum and I expect people are interested in actual simulation, not just "playing video games". Maybe you should go take a catnap.
