Miss Pick Up picked up

Recommended Posts

Miss Pick  Up,  a PBY Catalina based in Duxford, had an engine failure over Scotland and had to land on the Loch Ness and be picked up ashore with a  crane. One of her pilots is Matt Dearden who has been for quite some time a pilot in Papua on a Pilatus Porter and now flies out of Great Britain a PC 12.

Some pictures of the rescue here. Matt is on Twitter  @IndoPilot

It will fly again, it's not like she's sitting in the water with the hull plugs removed.

Thank god the Loch Ness monster didn't rear up out of the water and consume the lovely aeroplane. 😲 Could have happened.
