I was in the middle of updating the Turbo Bonanza, and asked several times that the Bonanza Improvement Team did not uploading anything without my permission. His upload of the electrical mods could be very useful to people, but in order to do this he has altered a flight model file which is now redundant as the recent Asobo update requires a re-write of certain aspects of that flight model. I emphatically told FrettFS that I did not wish at this stage for the two mods to be merged, or any part of them and I gave very clear reasons why not. The reasons are rational and relevant but I do not wish to discuss them here. He has now appeared to have published an "experimental" complete merge of his and my mods against my clearly stated wishes that he should not do so. November 2, 20205 yr Hi All, I am way behind you folks. When I first ran MSFS 2020 the default Asobo-aircraft-bonanza-G 36 was available and could be found in the sim (onestore). I then downloaded the turbo version and unzipped it to the community folder where it can be found under Bonanza Turbo V2. Neither can be found now in the sim when started under Aircraft selection even the Asobo version shows up in Official /Onestore/asobo-aircraft-bonanza-g36 and the v2 version under community/Bonanza-Turbo-V2. I am certain that I missed a step or two but which? Thanks, Rolf Computer - Windows 10 Pro 64bit - I7 7700K CPU @4.20GHz - GPU GTX 1080- - 32.0 GB RAM - P3D v4.1

We had a strong disagreement on working together on the G36. I was looking to join our forces and you were clearly not at all interested in doing so. We disagreed, period. I don't want to bring the argument here to the public forum as we already had an extensive one privately. You are a well-respected member of this community and I am just another new guy around here. In this position it is easy for you to discredit me and I feel that is exactly what you are doing now. It is in no ones interest to air our dirty laundry here in this thread. I explained in private, but now in public as I feel the need to defend myself at this point, that this [see quoted text] is not the case and may be due to your interpretation of an old commit message on GitHub (because yes, at one point I merged your changes but that has never seen the light of day). For 0.6, we offer a patch version which only add this projects enhancements. Yes it uses two of your files because a few lines (that you did not alter from their default values) need some change to be compatible with the system improvements. Could you please edit or remove your post, then I can do the same to mine. No need for drama that no one is interested in. Edited November 2, 20205 yr by FrettFS

Your installation in the community folder should look like this: For Robert's Turbo-normalized mod, you should go to this thread and follow his installation instructions. There is a patch that brings the system improvement of the mod I posted to the turbo-normalized mod. It adds features like the engine start model, electrical overhaul, extra working buttons and interactive checklists.

I'm not discrediting you, but I am quite upset that you violated an agreement. I am saying you uploaded a mod in violation of a CLEAR undertaking that you agreed to, which was not to publish anything without first consulting me. The reason I asked you to consult me is relevant because what you uploaded contains a file that is now in need of an update. I posted here because I wanted to warn anyone downloading it that I am updating the Turbo Mod and the file you are using needs updating. So there is no drama. November 2, 20205 yr Guys, we have enough issues with Asobo please don't ruin other things we enjoy by misunderstandings each other. Both of your mods are fantastic and I hope you both work out your issues for the benefit of us all. November 2, 20205 yr Yes please, what @Dillon said. Please forgive each other and continue to work together.

There was a clear miscommunication on the development of a patch version. I was planning to turn the alteration of the few lines that we added into written instructions instead of included files, because you are right in that I use two of your files to make the minor changes in (again, to lines you haven't changed). I thought that was ok (due to said miscommunication) and you didn't. But I'm not in such a hurry to do that now that you are hijacking the thread in an effort to discredit me (regardless of your intention, that is how it comes across). Can we please remove all our off-topic posts here and discuss anything related to this privately as we did before? Should I start adding quotes from our private conversation? Probably not right? Can't imagine anyone is interested, yet you bring me into a position where I have to defend myself. Your reply to this, if you have one, please in private. Edited November 2, 20205 yr by FrettFS

You made it public by uploading a file that is now out of date, and I asked that you back off and wait until the sim had arrived at a stable version before rushing into merged mods. But you did not listen. I don't understand the urgency of uploading stuff. There is no hurry, and as I said, if you were so concerned about being a public service, at any time you could have simply sent me the lines of code you edited and extended permission to publish them. You are exaggerating the position. I have simply said to anyone interested not to download your modification because I am working on an update. I would in other circumstances have said wait for that and then we can reconsider, but I find your style very pushy and so I have decided not to cooperate with you. That's the end of it. Please move on. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 2, 20205 yr Author I asked for your reply in private. Now I can add 'very pushy' to the list... That is of course very subjective and I don't think many will agree when they read our private conversations. But again, no one is interested, so that will remain hypothetical. Please stop posting in my thread and PM me if there is any more you'd like to discuss. Please?
November 2, 20205 yr C'mon guys, make peace. 🙏 Again we have enough with the issues we're finding in the core sim. You guys make the growing pains more barrable... November 2, 20205 yr Frett, nice work on the G36! All the work you have put into it is much appreciated. I've enjoyed seeing all the weekly improvements on GitHub since release day. The electrical modeling with the split-bus system is pretty much spot-on, along with the other systems tweaks you have implemented. Flight dynamics are great. Just my observation after about 1,500+ hrs flying the real A36 and G36 Bonanza for the factory (Beechcraft). Have tried various turbo mods and tweaks for FS and none are appealing to me. Especially since the real G36 is no longer offered as a TC or TN model from the factory. (They discontinued it for a reason) Simulating an aftermarket add-on turbo, and dealing with cumbersome fuel flow indications, etc in the G1000 detracts from the Bonanza that is offered by Textron today (and modeled in the sim).
November 2, 20205 yr Well, to be clear, all the files that are being "modified" are owned by Microsoft, not any author. It's nice to call a mod "your work", but it's really not. In any event, the Turbo mod is very nice. Flight model is a bit off from book, but close enough for now. The G36 mod is nice as well, especially with it's vastly improved engine and electrical system. There's room for both.....nobody owns the files in question but Microsoft and Asobo......and the bottom line is it's basically just numbers on a page. For now, I'll stick to the G36 mod, as it flys by the book. I'll certainly check back in to see if Robert can get his flight model closer to real world, and when he does, and I'm sure he will, as he's very talented, then I'll take another look at his mod. Happy flying.
