Can this odd behavior be specific to certain liveries only? 

How are you engaging the AP?  You should select an altitude and then only use FLC or VS mode, then turn on AP master.  A lot of people were pressing ALT first like the old FSX way - that's not normal unless you wanted to just hold altitude.

Certainly I am doing something wrong....actually I cannot set VS  - values freeze in crazy numbers and I cannot adjust them...I will look at some videos to clarify!

Just try deleting your current CJ4 working title folder and adding the latest release back in.

I had issues with the FMS on previous version...FMS was not showing.

Thanks again for this great mod. I have deleted Airac 2011 and installed Airac 2012 into the community folder using the Navigraph beta installer. Everything looks ok in the community folder but the CJ 4 FMC still shows the 2011 Airac dates. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong but I can't figure out what. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Adding the HSI needle was a great improvement, thank you!

Can you tell me if you are working to fix the DEP/ARR transitions? There is a lot of procedures missing the transitions in FMC, and would be nice to see this fixed!

You set your sim to Metric maybe? Metric is bugged on the sim side. Don't use it, instead enable Metric Units in the plane itself with IDX -> Page 2 -> Mod Settings -> Metric Units

Navigraph dates don't show up yet I think - the sim reports it's AIRAC cycle, but I don't think the sim is reading in the Navigraph dates correctly...

If you use Navigraph you'll get many more. It's partially a data issue and partially a flight plan manager issue. We are developing a custom flight plan manager and I expect that plus navigraph will provide full and complete procedures and transitions...time will tell.

Should also clear the weird VS behavior. It was doing crazy jumps for us with sim Metric enabled.

So to climb, set your target altitude, then enable either FLC or VS mode and set the proper speed target for FLC mode or VS target for VS mode. Then you should get a (relatively) smooth climb and intercept to the target altitude... Remember that if you use FLC, you still have to control throttles, so set climb power and set your FLC target to 240 kts and you should get a good climb. Check out our little SOP doc for more details on climb and descent.

Oh?  I wasn't sure what Navigraph actually did in this sim.  I used it in XP11 where the entire database was updatable.  Are you saying even the default avionics can read the Navigraph data?

Yes Navigraph replaces the in-sim data in MSFS. Much more integrated than in P3D or XP.
