The inertia of a 250,000 lb aircraft is what I'd expect from a 2.5 lb aircraft. This twitchiness is visible in all aircraft in all conditions at all times. Once Asobo finds the little "inertia" and "lift coefficient" variable and tweaks it, this game will jump ahead 200 spots in terms of realism. Check if you are like this
November 20, 20205 yr Yes, we all know MSFS2020 is nothing more than a scenery simulator, no need to rub it in.

I quit flightsims for about 10 years because of the increasing focus on (for me) stifling boring "study level" airline ops where you basically flip switches and work though fake real world procedures while spending hours on auto pilot. Flight sims had become Procedures/ATC/Navigation Simulators, actual flight no longer had anything to do with it. To make it worse the procedures are not even that complex or hard to understand, any one with a basic college education or good high school diploma could do it For me, it would actually be more fun to sit though an entire days session of the Finance Committee of the British Parliament, before Brexit made it at least slightly interesting. Ironically I have even known real world pilots who see their airline rosters as "just a mundane job" but still do stuff like aerobatics on the weekend for fun because it brings back why they became a pilot in the first place. Yes some people really like doing the "virtual airline pilot" thing and more power to them. But most of the new players attracted to MSFS are going to see that for what it mainly is, an expensive elitist sub genre mainly populated by people patting one another on the back about how clever/superior/elite/special they all are compared to the "riff raff" who just like to fly . Admittedly not everyone into study level aircraft and airline ops is like that, and apologies to them, but there are enough of the elitist arrogant types to taint that whole community. Luckily, many new simmers don't frequent an echo chamber and are rather enjoying themselves in-sim... Edited November 20, 20205 yr by DylanM

Undoubtedly an affection deficiency.
November 20, 20205 yr You compared a really good third party XP aircract, to what is largely recognized as the most broken and unfinished of the default MSFS airliners, lol. I assume you found the conclusion you were looking for. Third party heavy metal will eventually start rolling out, and I suspect it'll probably cost less than you're used to paying now.
November 20, 20205 yr Well the Rotate MD80 costs as much as what I paid for the whole of MSFS (Standard edition), so think I'll stay with that , flawed as it may be. And yes, the default MD80 in XP11 is truly awful, flew it once - never again. Cockpit belongs in the FS98 era and sounds seemed to have been sampled from a Henry vacuum cleaner... :)
