World Update II - North America

I wonder what time the World Update II - North American is being released???

Will I have to sit thru a full update since i guess they're not updating anything else today???

Possibly the usual 6pm european time, wich is a weird one, thats when many people would try to play, but instead would have to sit waiting for the uodate to load. They should push it in the morning so people can load it during the day, and have it ready for the evening flight 🙂

I can already hear the moaning from people who were expecting to run the sim on a potato after this update... Brace yourselves!

Yeah. CPU performance in MSFS compared to other simulators, is STELLAR already. What kind of free lunch are people waiting for?

Yeah, let’s hope this does not turn out to be a ‘don’t fix something that is not broken’ scenario where we all end up worse off.

Only optimization on photogrammetry loading, it seems.

And offline AI aircraft are now properly removed at long distance.

You mean kinda like this?  Shockingly smooth, solid vsync to 30, main thread what maybe 60% tops, most sliders at ULTRA, 100/200/200:

I decided to hop back into P3D 4.5 this morning after almost no use for the past month or so and it was really quite lovely in its own right.  Just once up in the air best to interact w/ the cockpit, ATC and FSCaptain as the outside world is pretty sad!  Taxiing using a Cessna Trim wheel assigned to the NGXu's tiller is just so sweet!  Fabulous time to be an aviation vidiot!

And now back along the lovely Cote d Azur in southern France, taking off out of Nice.  Just so fabulous!Nice.png

Sounds spot on if it's true.  I bet it will help address that scenario where you have ample CPU/GPU/VRAM/RAM/net bandwidth yet have sudden inability to maintain frame rate (at 30 in my vsync'd to 30Hz case)
