In the 152 on generic ultra settings. We are probably referring to two different things. I am talking about digital terrain elevation, which is quite lacking in MSFS. You might be talking about ortho resolution, which is mostly very good even for default maps.

But I expect they are just getting each other confused. Jaynes forum post says USA. I was specifically referring to 1m HR mesh. Canada is fully covered with a 30 m elevation mesh if memory serves me well. November 23, 20205 yr Will this get rid of the spires that are all over in mountainous areas? The Elkins WV area looks hideous. That was one of the main reasons I was looking forward to this sim and that area looks like butt. Southwest Virginia is covered with them also, including a giant one next to my favorite airport there. Lets hope the update fixes it. Edited November 23, 20205 yr by desbean

It is amazing to see them in MSF knowing that most of the available meshes in P3D are much cleaner. This sim is superb in many ways but also sometimes the team curiously cuts corners and brings back pre-FSX gremlins. I wonder whether they have a GIS expertise within the team ( Same with the trees anomalies, by the way). I think not. It looks like they import stuff from Bing without much consideration. The future ? On one side, they « plan » to look into the mesh issues in 2021. On the other hand , they say that they will bring a HR (hopefully clean) mesh to cover the US after Japan in two days. So there are reasons to be optimistic. And who knows, Europe afterwards ? Then the world 😄! Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus 🎅 ! 1 hour ago, conundrum said: What res do they use in sim currently? That video is also unrelated to the world update. They've released videos for most of the world in that format. Edited November 23, 20205 yr by Tuskin38
