November 20, 20205 yr I am used to the old way in other sims to download and install an addon. However, with MSFS, it seems like mods get updated very fast and can be found from a number of places. Take the dev mod on the A320 for example. They have an installer, which makes it easy to check for the latest release, but how am I supposed to do it for scenery? Do I have to go to where i grabbed it and manually look for an update or is there something like an installer that can search all of my mods in my community folder and automatically check for updates? November 20, 20205 yr I follow the updates at flightsim.to. If I think one of them refers to an addon I use I click it and I can read if I downloaded it and if the present version is more recent than mine. A bit tedious but working, but of course restricted to flightsim.to. Initially, I had hoped for a central addon manager within the simulator where all addons, payware and freeware alike, are registered and updates are indicated and proposed for downloads. Turned out to be a pipe dream.😭 Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11

Choice B might be to be patient and wait for these changes to be incorporated by the developer, MS/Asobo. Quite frankly beyond the incredible flight sim MSFS already is one of the most attractive features to me is not have to fiddle around w/ tweaks, mods, multiple installers from myriad different 3rd party devs, and so forth. Not to mention the fact that this sim has already saved me bundles of cash approaching the GDP of a small Scandinavian country.

Of course you would have to be logged in whenever you download one so it can keep track of what you got. So its only gonna work for the addons you'll get from now on, and not the ones you already have. Its quite an amazing new website this one 🙂 Edited November 20, 20205 yr by leprechaunlive

November 20, 20205 yr Yes, but it also creates a complete list of all addons which have been updated since I downloaded them the last time, including links to the new versions (under "My Downloads" or similar). Very practical.
