Can can someone remind me if/how you can get AIG Traffic Controller to always select MSFS at start instead of always having to select it?

Use -MSFS2020 as the command argument.

If you wish to launch AIG Traffic Controller alongside MSFS, simply add it to your exe.xml file (located inside %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator).

Like so:

    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>AIG Traffic Controller</Name>
        <Disabled>false</Disabled>
        <Path>PATH_TO_AIGTC\AIGTech - Traffic Controller.exe</Path>
        <CommandLine>-MSFS2020</CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>

Be sure to edit the path to your AIGTC folder.

Go to the AIGTC short cut, right click, properties, then the "target" box: Add -MSFS2020 at the end, like this: ...Traffic Controller.exe" -MSFS2020

Thanks, and from AIG I just download models and liveries? And this should be obvious from the program?

Yes, you choose an airline (or multiple) to download and it will automatically download the appropriate models, liveries and flightplans. Keep in mind this will take several hours if you want to download ALL airlines, since it's thousands and thousands of different liveries. If you want to go flying today, just choose the airlines at your airports for your flight (you can even search inside the app which airlines have your airport in their flightplan) and you're good for today.
There's also a big pack somewhere (flightsim.to?), that might speed that up with a single download file, but not sure if it's still available or up to date.

(basically a waste of download time, file space and extra loading times)

They're really not. I have every single flightplan downloaded. There's only 14 flight plans 1MB or over, and the biggest is only 3MB.

Please don't promote the existence of that. It was created without permission from AIG.

AIG has always developed flightplans and linked models/repaints to them. Thas how AIM is designed, the flightplans are the "glue" that combines models and needed repaints for the different airlines. If you remove the AIGFP files AIM will no longer detect the airlines as installed and mark the assigned models and repaints as "ununsed" this will result in a possible "removal of those unused content.

As mentioned several times already: OCI as an method that provides a AI package is desinged in a modular way to keep installation and updates as small as possible and the "smallest" part in the AI world is the flightplan.

that might be a bug in the current version.... It should remove any sleep traffic that is not at the two airports, but keep all enroute/taxiuing traffic at all airports....

under "Settings" is the traffic limiter that will remove all "sleeping" traffic besides the departure and destination airport. Airport movements at all airports will still be visible. We decided to no go the "hard-coded" way of eliminating traffic by a fix-number.

This happens to me as well, sleeping traffic in the two (Arr and Dep) airports also disappears - to understand, this is a bug pending resolution or is there something wrong with my AIGTC? Thanks so much!

Kai, anything you can reveal about the close working relationship Jorg mentioned in the last dev Q&A? 🙂

Kai is there a way not to close TC at MSFS closing? Or it won't reconnect to the MSFS when it launches next time?

The fact that it’s a thing is excitement enough for me 😀

Hey Guys,

the next big "thing" in the AI Traffic world has landed on our Servers: DynFP

https://www.alpha-india.net/2024/03/19/dynamic-flightplan-dynfp/

For now we only have a very limited coverage but we will expend this in the next months. If you would like to see some area covert or any specific local operator let us know in our Forum and we will see what we can do 🙂
