Someone who doesn't want inexperienced users to have easy access to things they should leave alone. The alternative is encryption of everything.  It's a pain but it does serve a purpose.

Or they could put out documentation and provide the ability for the controller mappings to be output easily.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Under that folder you should find SystemAppData\wgs,

I periodically make a copy of the wgs folder ( along with some other MSFS files, e.g., cfg files) , rename it to something like wgs18Nov21, and store it in a 'safe' place. I can then easily restore my controller settings should that become necessary.

Thanks and kind regards, Michael

OK, I have been finding that my keybindings are not being saved. I looked up this  location, and find I have NO /wgs folder. Any ideas where I can go with this?

In that case, they should ensure that the controllers GUI is 100% functional - which it is NOT. It's a mess, let's be honest.
