Like to try the Longitude...any advice?

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I'm planning to try out the Longitude and read about the mod earlier. Is there some advice which mods to use for best results?

And is the Working title G3000 mod compatible with it too?

Best regards,

Tom

Get the Working title gauge mods (search these forms) and get the mod for this aircraft to correct the default issues, enjoy.

Longitude Mod:

Asobo Cessna Citation Longitude Flight Dynamics Modifications Project Version 1.40 • Flight Simulator 2020

Someone can chime in with Working Title's latest links to their G3000 mod.

The HUD is INOP, but is really enjoyable with the must have mods.

Check out a few YT videos and you will get a good understanding of how to fly this lovely bird.

I don't have any mods, but it is one of my favs.  I put together some instructions on using it here:

I wasn't a believer in the mod and a change made to a core file but seeing it's one file in the Longitude folder I took a chance (plus your instructed albeit common sense to backup the core Longitude folder).  Anyone like me who loves the Longitude has to try this mod.  Anything before is irrelevant.  Seeing as Asobo has no plans to address this aircraft anytime soon one tiny file will to break the bank.  The ends more than justifies the means when you try this out.  You'll be updating your Youtube video.

Excuse my question. But which of the WT mods is used for the Longitude? The G3000 which is for the TBM too?

Anyone that has not tried the two mods described above are missing out on a great addition.

Make sure you download and install the new Version 1.4 mod. It came out Dec 12 and it is even more of an improvement.

Why not take it for a spin (are ya skeeered?) vanilla like with no mods for an hour or so to take it up to altitude and a nice leisurely approach and landing. I've never had any issues with it; I like it.

edit to add: I run all the WT mods; so I use their G3000 mod with the default Longitude.

It's odd that you want advice before taking an aircraft up in a sim. Strange. Perhaps some hand holding can be arranged. ha jk

I haven't tried the Longitude mod yet but I have all the associated bookmarks.

I do as well and it’s a really nice combination."

Just did all that and i really liked it. Not sure about the autothrottle though. Sometimes had a hard time transitioning between mach and IAS speeds but all in all a very ejoyable plane. Will definately stick with it the next days. I use those mods too and they did a great job for the TBM and so i thought i'd be great to have the same thing in the Citation.

Next thing is to get familiar with approach speeds and stuff like that.

Autothrottle works, FLC works both in Climbing and descending. But you need to be in Managed mode and Not FMC mode on the Speed control.  I use Autothrottle mostly in Cruse with Mach number ,78-,81 and also use it to descend maintaining speed at or below 250 by varying throttle which controls decent rate.

Will check it out!

Am i missing something because i have no MACH speed indicated on the speed tape? The only way to get a MACH spd displayed is to push the IAS/MACH swap button and it shows the MACH number in the PFD AP mode panel.

Yep that the only Mach indicator I have found too

Far from an expert on this aircraft...learning about it more and more, but I have been having great flights with it after the mods.  I, too, was skittish about modding things, but this was well worth it.

Very much enjoying this bird now...Big Thanks to the developer bringing us this!

Cheers,
