Just flew out of CYFB. Not a cloud in the sky. Active Sky depicts the correct weather. Weather had been working the past few days, but I have been flying in the continental US and Mexico. Not sure what the problem is with this sim, but this should have been working on day 1. With the number of patches that have been released, you would think one of them would have fixed this issue. Doesn't help that there isn't any snow/ice on the ground either.

I think it went down sometime last night, I was fine all day yesterday, but my flights around 9-10PM eastern, even after restarting the sim, had no weather.

Interestingly the sim was still reporting accurate METAR conditions.

That's being added with the patch on Tuesday.

Thanks. Nice to hear that the snow will be in the patch.

I was flying late last night into Cancun and the weather appeared to be reasonably accurate.

Looking it your pick, not sure why I wasn't seeing any clouds (wired connection, 300mbps), unless there really is an issue with live weather. Tough thing is it seems like it is fixed, but then it fails again.

I restarted and now I am seeing what you have in the pic. 

Live weather, in MSFS?  Never heard of it.

Yeah, one way to tell if live weather is working, look at the wind speed and direction on the main menu map above the selected airport, if it's just dashes, then try restarting the sim.

Well, depends...

Today I started a flight from LPPT to EGLL. Built and imported the flightplan from SimBrief, and used the FBW A320 0.5.0...

In the flight at all of the waypoints I crossed I was surprised to find an excellent match between the OFP generated by SimBrief and what MFS depicted ( including winds aloft ). METAR at LPPT and EGLL were also ok.

Yet sometimes it doesn't work that good.

There are days... and places ...

It's still, WIP.

Always hit and miss when i fly MSFS. When it hits looks great compared to RW.

Yeah I was kinda being silly.  For me it's been mostly miss.  I think its just delayed 4-8 hours.  Frequently I'll go to work, see the conditions, and go home, and those older conditions will be in my sim.  Makes sense that it's a forecast based engine.  I'm really looking forward to what HiFi has in store.  I've considered REX, and metar weather is somethin I would like, but I'm still just holding at the moment.

Same here. 

I started my flight this morning in Jacksonville. Half way to my destination I lost the clouds. The live weather feature is still a WIP.

I literally was flying with some weather (not super accurate but not horrible foir live weather), and then i went to main menu, and started a new flight at the same airport.  Clear skies ISA lol!  I tried swapping from custom to live back and forth but no joy!

You have to restart the sim between flights sometimes to get live weather back.

It has always been hit and miss for me. The start with clear skies worked better before the last patch. Still sucks!
