Clear skies ISA lol! I tried swapping from custom to live back and forth but no joy! Ryan, I don't know if you read my thank you for the mooney livery. It's excellent. MSFS
December 19, 20205 yr I'm currently above western Alberta, FL390, and I'm getting like 140kt winds, which from what I can find, is like 60 knows higher than I should be getting. The direction is correct though. Getting massive turbulence too. keeps knocking me up and down like 50 feet. Edited December 19, 20205 yr by Tuskin38

The direction is correct though. Right - I've had similar experiences. I typically use Windy's site to see what they should be... it's been very very close 95% of the time for me (in previous sims like XP11 and P3D). MSFS.... everything is just OFF majority of the time. I know there are users who it's working properly for, I've seen it! December 19, 20205 yr Yeah normally it's only about 5-10 higher than windy says, I've never had it this off before. It has settled down a bit. Now it's only 30kts too high. Edited December 19, 20205 yr by Tuskin38

December 20, 20205 yr I can't wait for ActiveSky to come to MSFS. Two dudes at HiFi can do live weather better than a dev team backed by a billion dollar company.

December 20, 20205 yr We have a foot of snow on the ground in Pennsylvania. But using Live Weather in MSFS, the ground is completely void of snow. I have to use custom weather to have any semblance of current conditions. Does Live Weather simply not use real world snow depth? If not, does Microsoft plan to implement it? It's disappointing having no snow on the ground all winter. Edited December 20, 20205 yr by NightOfDreams

It’s too bad that billion dollar company has the keys to the engine and won’t let anyone touch it. ActiveSky will be as crappy as REX’s.

December 20, 20205 yr I was really surprised yesterday to make a flight from near me, the plane said the OAT was 19C, the actual temp was -12. A difference of more than 30 degrees!
