December 30, 20205 yr Hi, Is this simply the same Procedure as with the previous version or are there specific issues that make these changes necessary? Because I departed from a clean install EHAM 1.3 yesterday without any mods to it, just the scenery listed above TENL in the library and the mods listed in the ORBX forum, and both airport and the city looked brilliant. I have seen no compatibility issues at all thus far and would encourage anyone to just install it and see what you get before making any mods. Edit: are you aware that in your screenshot the fire practice fake 747 is missing and there is a large JUMBO SUPERMARKET around that area that should not be there? December 30, 20205 yr Author You can use it without any mods but I like the houses around Schiphol from Orbx better. Too much white houses from FT and lots of pine trees where we do not have them here.. Thanks Michael Moe You first have to uninstall the old version. Then you download the Universal Installer. I have almost everything maxed out and VSync off / 30 hertz and with 84 live traffic ac + real weather (AS) I have a smooth sim. As you can see my graphics card uses 8,9 Gb with 2 view screens. VC without instruments. Many 4096 textures but you could set it to 2048 inside P3D. In total it is a little heavier on the system than the old version. But V5 has better performance than V4... I did test it yesterday and performance on my system has become poor with the same settings as before in prepar3d v5. Maybe I checked other options in the configurator, don't know. I use about 6 GB VRAM of my 7.0 available VRAM. Textures are loading slowly and are changing when rotating views. I get a lot of stutters. As you can see I have an RTX2080 with 8GB. At the moment I don't want to buy a new GPU with more VRAM, if they are available at all. I kept the old version in a directory and will go back, since I had fluent flight over Amsterdam before. I have bought TE Netherlands recently and this runs fine.
