Crash detection is utterly pointless in P3D. It simulates "crashes" about as accurately as I can simulate child birth. There is absolutely zero reason to have it enabled.

I think its pointless in any sim because it never works properly.  And generally speaking, most of us can tell when we messed up.

Yes, same.

But the bride problem is not related to the crash detection. The aircraft will nevertheless jump on the bridge. Without the crash detection the flight will continue but the aircraft systems in complex add-ons can go havoc after this.

But LM has chimed in and offered a fix to test. For me, the fix seems not to work. But what it might does is to fix the infamous landing glitch one can get with high mesh settings and airports like KSFO R28R. Have a look here for the fix:
https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=140885&start=15#p235280

it doesnt work for anyone in that topic by the sounds of it.  as mentioned before the proof will be in the pudding to see if they fix that in 5.2

For simmers thats a huge issue, not being able to taxi around certain airports like EHAM, VHHH, YBBN etc etc.

whats interesting is that the end of some 4 pages you would think someone from LM would say something really short and simple along the lines of  "im sorry to hear about these issues, our team are looking at this and we will endeavour to try fix this in 5.2"

a little statement like that shows they are not promising to fix it, but neither are they saying they are going to ignore it.  Its called schoosing.   Its little stuff like this that (yes I know ill get flamed as normal for saying it)  they not that bothered about simmers.  heart braking thing is its so so simple to come with with a line like wha I suggested.  you appeasing people (the sorry bit at the front) but without promising anything, such simple customer service, yet its just lost on IT guys.  You see it time and time again day in day out,  IT People on forums with no idea of customer service because they are good with coding and not people in general.

They just let that Vaughan guy try and deflect the flack as normal.  AKA blame it on the developers,  after numerous people have suggested tip hasnt helped and its blatently a LM issue.

Further more I also put money on that issue not being fixed as well as the text box stutter.  Come on Martin and Simbol tell me how wonderful LM are because they love simmers.   Come on  Ive got my tin hat on im ready for it.

Here the mods that need to be done in TE Netherlands. Do nothing in FT Amsterdam yet !

Here the files you need to disable (extension OFF) or take them out of the Amsterdam Scenery folder like I did :

Hi Gerard, do you mind texting the files or updating the photos?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I just thought got Orbx True Earth Netherlands but noticed that together with Flytampa EHAM v2, Amsterdam Nieuw-West is completely stripped of any custom buildings/autogen. I have been able to pinpoint the issue to the eham_ground_v5.bgl (FlyTampa Scenery folder) but not sure how that one can be tweaked to fix the issue (I would just keep it disabled but having it disabled also disables the basic ground texture at the airport itself.. so not an option unfortunately). Furthermore, I think I have the same issue even without True Earth (so maybe just a Flytampa EHAM issue but not 100% sure).

If anyone has a solution it would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! 🙂

If you check the above post right above you it has a solution, their is a file to use with Eham 1.3 P3D with the ORBX TE Netherlands.

Here is the current link to the file on the ORBX forums & the info on how to install it, I did have it working at one point but used MSFS 98% of the time now.

Hopefully this is what your looking for.

Ah thanks for the links but unfortunately the ORBX link doesnt seem to work anymore and I also do not think it is the same problem as basically everything else works really well (no elevation issues, etc.) but I am just missing basically all of the autogen/custom objects in Amsterdam Nieuw-West (everywhere else it looks like it should though). For some odd reason the flytampa BGL file just makes that part of the city flat and dead whether or not I have NL TE activated or not (i.e. I do not think its a true-earth compatability issue at all but rather something else). 😟 I will try to upload a picture later today to show how it looks! 🙂
