February 1, 20215 yr You definitely need to disable those files, David. That CVX file in particular is probably causing elevation issues for you with FlyTampa Amsterdam installed. I always disable any airport files that are not part of the airport package that I am using, and that includes every single default UK airport (because I have UK2000 Xtreme/HD/VFR Airfields and Scotflight airports/airfields that cover the entire UK). February 1, 20215 yr Also the other thing to mention re FT EHAM is that with P3Dv5 and EHAM v1.3, the Global Settings tab for the Configurator is no longer present. I believe this is intended since in v1.3 the season textures are now selected automatically so no need for Month/season switcher in the Configurator. The files ADE_FTX_NLD_EHAM.bgl, ADE_FTX_NLD_EHAM_CVX.bgl and FTX_NLD_EHAM_objects are not mentioned in either tutorial, so I wondered whether it may help to deactivate them which I successfully did in FTX Germany. P3D V5 and Flytampa latest updates / fixes Hi Rob0203, Yes same issue in P3Dv5. Even if you adjust Mesh Resolution to 1m there are 2 nasty bumps when crossing on Quebec. At least in the Aerosoft A320. Strangely I taxied the F35 default aircraft over that taxiway and there weren't any problems. I tend to agree. I've never really understood why one would keep it on. After all this is not "Crash Simulator", and damage is not accurately modeled by the sim anyway. And if you do care about damage and failure, you're likely to have the likes of FSLabs, PMDG or Leonardo, which have their own failure modeling anyway. As I see it, crash detection causes much more issues than it's worth. Perhaps that's also the reason that I don't ever remember having any issues with any bridges in any version of P3Dv5... Yes, same. But the bride problem is not related to the crash detection. The aircraft will nevertheless jump on the bridge. Without the crash detection the flight will continue but the aircraft systems in complex add-ons can go havoc after this. But LM has chimed in and offered a fix to test. For me, the fix seems not to work. But what it might does is to fix the infamous landing glitch one can get with high mesh settings and airports like KSFO R28R. February 4, 20215 yr Crash detection is utterly pointless in P3D. It simulates "crashes" about as accurately as I can simulate child birth. There is absolutely zero reason to have it enabled.
