I waited many years for Mega Rio for FSX and later P3D. The latest P3Dv4v by Paolo was excellent, but MSFS takes any scenery to another level. The lighting and atmosphere always makes me go WOW!

Here's some pics with the latest Rio Mod:

What mod are you using to light up Christ the Redeemer or should I say what Rio mod is this period?

@DJJose

Obrigado e muito bem Jose!!

I can’t belive they even put the Árvore de Natal da Lagoa in the scenery!!

I pumped to get MSFS at some point. It looks great and this addon looks even better that what Paolo Richardo put out for Rio in FSX/P3D.

Does it include the heliports on Sugerloaf mountain? Paolo’s version didn’t have that and it was disappointing. I took the helicopter ride from Sugerloaf around Rio a few times and it was really cool.

Really cool !

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

Happy new year! The mod is a WIP (beta) and will be enhanced further. I'll suggest to creator to add heliports on Sugerloaf mountain.

1.14GB is too big for one scenery area

Looking at P3D, 1+ Gb sceneries are pretty standard. Sometimes even for just one airport. So I think this is perfectly reasonable for such a large scenery like this. But of course, this is only my personal opinion. Looking forward to trying it out.

The problem with this is now with the type of scenery we have with default FS2020 large sceneries like this in most cases is no longer needed.  Before you could be out sizable disk space for scenery covering the whole globe much less regions.  I wouldn't compare FS2020 to legacy sims as so much has changed.  Now when it comes to places like the whole French Riviera that might put you out a bit on space because what all is needed to bring that up to at lease USA standards but Rio is pretty much done and looks good by default.
