January 7, 20215 yr Hi you lovely people! I still have issues with all planes in MSF, including yours, when it comes to programming in STARs in the FMC/CDU. I got an email that the issue with STARs dropping waypoints was fixed and thus closed, but I am still having this issue. Please have a look at this video for a better description of the issue: Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
January 7, 20215 yr Author UPDATE: I tried another method of doing things, but unfortunately that didnt help either. What I did was the only set the departure in the world menu, leaving the arrival field blank. Then importing the flightplan from simbrief to the a320. Exact same problem though 😞 I have made bug reports on this many times earlier, but did one once again including this video. Also uploaded it to the navigraph beta forums. January 7, 20215 yr maybe it makes sense if you post the issue in their issue tracker: https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx/issues ? AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
January 7, 20215 yr Author @omarsmak30 Good idea. I posted it here: https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx/issues/2929 Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
January 7, 20215 yr I know you think it’s not a nav database issue, but have you *tried* it with Navigraph to see if that’s the case? I’ve seen several instances where arrivals and approaches were missing a few waypoints but were fixed with Navigraph. This doesn’t sound like a logic error that they could create themselves. Did you try this with the default versions of the airplane? If the same thing happens it’s likely a sim database issue...
January 7, 20215 yr Author @FlyingInACessna hi there 🙂 Yes, I have tried to check both with and without navigraph installed. The video is with the navigraph database installed, but I get the exact same issue without it. Also a person commented in the video saying the same. This is also tested with default aircraft. Ah got it. Would be awesome if FBW / WT could find a solution, but it’s a native sim bug. I’d recommend both creating a thread in the Bugs and Issues part of the forum and also submitting a Zendesk bug form. Would be better for everyone if Asobo could sort it out.

I have beaten every drum, rung every bell, blown every whistle, yet it has not been resolved. Actually, WorkingTitle cj4 dev team took it quite serious a while a go. He made a bug report for me. A few days ago the bug was marked as resolved. That is partially why I made this video and gave it the title I did. What really bugs me is that other people I talk to who fly these airplanes tell me that they never really have any issues. I dont understand why, since I get it 100% of the time. Here is one of many threads I made on this topic. It cross references my efforts to contact Asobo, Navigraph etc: Edited January 7, 20215 yr by Andreas Stangenes Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
January 7, 20215 yr FBW is working on their own autopilot, until then we have to be patient! Why don't you using heading mode to fly the last bit of the STAR??? That's what I do for now and it works, it is not perfect, but it works! It is definitely not a show stop for me, because most of the FBW mod awesome and their are doing their best. Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
January 7, 20215 yr Working Title runs it's own Flight Plan manager outside of the sim - your video didn't show this happening in there so you might want to try it there. FBW does not - they are working to use the WT one in the A320 but it's a while away still.

These means almost all of the issues we have seen with the FS routing i.e SID/STARs not having all the waypoints, not showing you VECTORS/DISCONINUITY on the FMCs and of course the autopilots going crazy if you did a DIR or changed the sequence of legs somehow.

How does it work? Is it merely manually entering the flight plan into the mod units in MSFS? Or can a flight plan be imported into it? And does it work with each of their mods? The web search I just completed seemed to refer to the just to the CJ. Someone from WT can hopefully ad more colour but as I understand it the flight plan is managed outside the sim by the "flight plan manager" and the manager is calling back into the planes autopilot to make it fly the route. It's specific to that 1 WT plane and not something that mods the entire sim.
