January 11, 20215 yr I have been flying MSFS 2020, since Aug. 2020. My system was running better than I could imagine. I purchased an MSFS 2020 Standard addition via XBOX Game Pass in Aug. of last year. Just before Thanksgiving my SSD (With MSFS 2020 Standard Edition installed on it) died. The tech didn't get the system back up and running tilll after New Years. While I was downloading MSFS 2020 at 1.4 GB I got an Eror 50%. I was given the option to either Resume the download or Cancel the download. I Resumed the download. After about 5 hr. and 104 GB of programs and suggested updates. When I started MSFS 2020, I went directly to my hangar to take out the ION A5. There were no aircraft there. I went to the marketplace thinking that they would have the aircraft in a free download. Not so. I ended up with the Cessna 152, which I really like a lot. What gives? Has anyone had this problem or do ay of you have any ideas of how to contact anyone that may be able to help me? I like to fly GA and so the MSFS 2020 Standard Editon had all the aircraft that I really enjoy flying. I want to thank you all in advance for any help or advice you can give me.
January 11, 20215 yr Moderator Usually when this happens, you will find your aircraft in your content - just download them again. RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 11, 20215 yr Happens to me all of the time I reinstall MFS. I bought the Aerosoft dvd version, install from there, then I use a backup of the last version I had installed, and update from there.. Usually I get fewer than my standard version aircraft, then as vgbaron suggests I go to the Content Manager and fetch everything lacking. January 11, 20215 yr The only way to avoid having to download content again is to back up your msfs Store folder folder so that you can restore all the contents after a full re-install. When I did a full OS & MSFS install this happened to me. Since I had a back-up all I did was copy and paste the online content folder and I was done. MSFS

You should be ok with that. However, don't worry too much about the log book. It sometimes acts up and doesn't record the time properly. No big deal. MSFS
January 11, 20215 yr Author Thank you guys. I've been flight simming for quite some time. But, MSFS 2020 has me spooked. Looking forward to seeing you all in the sky sometime.

January 11, 20215 yr Author I'm sorry to bother you guys. Where is MSFS 2020 stored on the SSD? I let the sim install in it's default location. I've looked all over my C; drive and I can't find the directory. When you say check your CONTENT and reload your aircraft, are we talking about accessing this from within MSFS 2020 Marketplace, or on my SSD? When I downloaded and installed MSFS 2020 last week, I originally had no aircraft in my hangar. I was presented a list of aircraft, but the options were "BUY and Download", I didn't want to buy what was supposed to be included in my subscription. When I went back to world map I had the TBM930 and the Cessna 152. I have been unable to find this list again. I am unable to find MSFS 2020 on my SSD. It doesn't even show on the Uninstall programs list in the Programs Unintall list. Sorry to be a pest, I just want to get my planes parked in the hangar. Thanks for being patient and so helpful.

January 12, 20215 yr I want to upgrade the processor, motherboard and RAM of my PC . MSFS 2020 and Preapr3d 4.5 ( with Payware like PMDG,FSL, Aerosoft. Flightbeam, Flytampa etc) are installed on a dedicated SSD. I have a Windows 10 Pro edition the license being linked to my Microsoft account ( free upgrade from Microsoft 7 Ultimate DVD edition). I would very much appreciate if some one could enlighten me on how to do the transition properly without landing up in trouble with regard to Software license agreement etc. Thanks in advance.
