There was an issue with the PAPI lights, the sun ,moon,runway lights etc not showing up in real 3D (I mean not having the depth) when FSX was used with NVidia 3D Vision and the 3D glasses . Is there anyone who is using a 3D set up for FSX who can kindly confirm if Steve's DX10 fixer had resolved this issue? (This was not an issue with FS9 and with the vanilla FSX installation but had developed once the Acceleration pack was installed.) Thanks in advance for a reply.

Sorry if my query is off topic.Would it be possible to get the runway lights appear in 3D when used with NVidia 3D vision and a 3D monitor? Thank you all for the great effort to tweak FSX for DX10. vkk

@KA321; Are you running FSX in full screen mode ? (as 3D won't work in windowed mode).I was also thinking of buying the same monitor. I too have read about the depth you get with the 3D glasses in FSX. So I strongly believe there must be something wrong with the setting.Vinod.

Any one using the new Acer HN274H 27 inch Nvidia 3D vision ready monitor? About the night lighting issue with FSX in 3D, there were comments from people in another thread that they got that issue solved with the iZ3D 3D driver instead of the NVidia 3D driver. Can it be true if the 3D lighting issue is related to the FSX coding than a driver related issue? In yet another thread there were people who wrote that they had no issues with night lighting in 3D like runway lights and PAPI when they used payware airports like UK 2000 Xtreme series. Would that be true with other addons from FS Dream team, Flightbeam, Flytampa and UTX (which are stated to have 3D lighting unlike the 2D lighting in default FSX). Sorry if I am asking these questions in the wrong thread; just felt many would benefit if they were answered in this thread. I would be very much thankful for a reply as I was thinking of buying the 27 inch Acer which is a bit costly. Thanks in advance.Vinod.

This was what I was also planning with my new build solely for FSX. But a few doubts. Will a third SSD be of any advantage to improve smoothness and overall FSX performance if I install FSX(with add ons which must be in the FSX folder)on the second SSD and other FSX addons (which need not be in the same folder as FSX) on the third SSD? Can add-ons like REX,GEX,UTX,FS Genesis mesh, Mega Scenery etc which occupy large space on the disc be installed on the third SSD to boost performance ? (or what all addons can be on a separate disc instead of being in the FSX folder?) I also read something about page file:what exactly is it and how to generate/find it and on which disc should it be for optimum performance? I already bought the following components and plan to use Windows Vista 32 bit.Processor: Intel Q 9550.MB: Asus P5E (X38 based)RAM: 4GB of Kingston HyperX DDR2 800MHzGraphic processor: XFX Geforce 8800 GTS 512 mb XXX Edn My questions are1. Will the above components be good enough to achieve the goal?2. Is there any advantage in having a RAID 0 setup with two Seagate 7200RPM SATA2 32MB Cache hard disks?3. Will the hard disks with 32 MB cache offer any extra advantage over 16 MB with regard to FSX?I would very much appreciate an expert advice. Thanks in advance.Vinod.
